Default The importance of State

Hey guys

So, I’ve been doing a lot of field-testing recently to figure out some of the secrets behind State, and even more the importance of having a good state. Of course it goes without saying that it’s preferred to be in a High state during a sarge, but I think some of the newbie’s in here will appreciate me clarifying some of the aspects around this.
Before we get started: This article is from MY point of view, and based solely on my own experiences and theories. So feel free to contribute if you think there’s something that I’ve left out.

But first, let’s take a look at what State is. Maybe even try to define it:

State is simply the level of energy and mood you have in a certain situation, and how you react to it. In other words, the “State of mind” you’re in.
State is something you can’t learn. It’s a built-in mechanism in every single human being.. The great thing about State is that it’s something you both can fake and manipulate. I’ll be covering this a bit down in the article.

There’s three “types” of state:

1. Low State
2. Neutral State
3. High State

Low State:

Remember sitting at home at some point, and all you’re friends are going out to party and you just “don’t feel like it”?
This is, unless your cat just got killed, a reaction of you being in a Low State.
This means that you’ve probably been sitting at home all day playing WOW or doing some other stuff that requires little or no brain activity, and therefore not been stimulating your energy levels.
Your energy level will not become higher by just sitting on your ass masturbating to second rate College porn all day.
When you’re in a low state, you will not feel the urge to be very social or do any other activity that stimulates you.
Having a hangover is an example when you’re in a low state.

Meeting women in low State:
Since you’re not in a talkative mood, and your energy level is much lower than anyone else, they will feel that you’re just there to drag them down. This happens in both a conscious and unconscious level. This will apply to any social situation, either being a club, mall, public transport etc… Nobody wants to hang around a guy with a low state. They will think you’re there just to suck value and/or energy from them, and you will not get a positive response to this. I think I can speak for everyone who’s tried to sarge in a low State, that the success rate will be significantly lower than in any other state.
Approach Anxiety in Low state: High

Neutral State:

This is the state you’re in most of the time. When you’re on autopilot, driving your car, at work, shopping for groceries etc…
You can have some success sarging in a neutral state, if you don’t have any other options.
I’ve had some success with this, and the thing is that the state will increase A LOT when you’ve first initiated the chat. This is why the first sets every night is rarely anything solid. At least not as successful as when you’re in a high state.
You’ll enter the set with a neutral state, and if the set’s also in a neutral state, your chances will increase. But on the flip side, if you open a high state set with you being a neutral state, it will still create the same effect as if you were in a low state.
The positive side of this is that it’s much easier to get in a high state from a neutral point, than if you were in a low state.

High state.

Ever felt like you were on a high even though you haven’t taken anything to get in this mood?
Like NOTHING could touch you? Except a woman of course!
When all you want to do is just get out and do “something”?
This is called a High State. The energy level in your body is High, and you need an outlet to release that energy. Most people just party, work out, go to clubs and dance etc. to get rid of that extra energy.

You see, the body is most satisfied when it’s in a Neutral state, because you can do normal activities without draining the body’s energy. It requires a lot of energy to be in a high state over time, and this is why you will feel just drained after a high State club night. I’ve experienced many times that I’ve felt almost the same as if I was under the influence of alcohol, even though I didn’t drink a drop. And yes, I’ve actually experienced having “grey zones” where I can’t remember details about the previous night. This is how powerful a High State is.
This is were you want to be. The approach anxiety will dramatically decrease and everything will feel so much smother.
You’ll be in a talkative mood, and you will actually bring people UP, and that shoots down barriers between you and the set in an instant.

How do you get in High state?

There are many different ways to get in a high state, but I’ll use the ones I use on a regular basis:

Warm-up sets:
Since I’m in the neutral state most of the day, a warm-up set or two is perfect. I normally just open sets I don’t even care about, and I’ve opened everything from old people, to the guy at the hot dog stand just to increase my state and get in a talkative mood. I do this when I get a call from my wings demanding me to go out on a short notice

Pumping state before sarge.
This one is the most effective, and the one I’ve used the most. I start by going to bed early the night before, and getting a good night sleep so my batteries gets recharged.
I get up, eat a good breakfast and shoot some shit with my dad, play a little with my sister and then I start with the pumping of state about three hours before I go out. Even though the process starts the night before when I went to bed.
I send some High state messages to my wings (Example: “Holy SHIT man! This night is going to ROCK!!!! I’m in such a Fucking HIGH state now man!!! SARGE ON. Love, Unique”), and then I take a couple of beers and put on some music that has a High energy flow in it. I sing with the music and just feel the energy rising. This will also warm up my voice. (I recommend Johnny Cash as a warm up for the voice). The clue here is to FEEL the music, not just listen to it. Move to the beat, play airguitar etc. I also picture me sarging the most insanely beautiful women, and I go through the sarge in my head. I’m picturing them laughing, me K-closing them and so on. The more details, the better. What I’m doing is that I’m painting a picture in my head, and creating a high expectation for the night. I also remember previous pick-ups that has just been to unreal to be true.
On my way to Oslo (Norway’s capitol city) I talk to everyone on the bus, boat and street, so when I enter the club, I’m in a much higher state than anyone else.
Sometimes I even have to fake the state a bit since I’m in a much higher state than anyone else, so I have to fake the situation so it seems like I’m in a state that’s just a bit higher than the set.

Dancing:
Also a good way of getting in a good state. This is what women usually do, and the main reason why they go to clubs. By doing something physical, you will increase your energy, and get in that place you so desperately need to be in for the night to be a complete success.
Working out before you go out is also a good way to get into state.

Long term effects:
After doing this before every single night out for the past year or so, I’ve started to recognize some long term effects.
I don’t need to pump state the whole day to get in the place I want to be. I just need to put on two-three songs that I’ve been using to get in a good mood before, and they work as an anchor for that feeling. So the time will be significantly shorter after a while.
I’m also in a place all the time where I’m in a constant higher state than neutral.
Like now for instance: I’m sitting all alone in an observation tower way up north in Norway writing this article. I’m listening to music as I’m writing this, and one of the regular songs I use for pumping state came on, and right now I’m in an insane state were I just want to get the heck out of this military base and go down to the city and pick up women.
So I absolutely recommend that you get some sort of state pumping routine put together before you go out every night, and use it frequently. Even if you’re not going out.

So, if you haven’t gotten any good sarges lately, than maybe this will be a good way of increasing your success. Even if you don’t get anything solid, you will still feel like the night was friggin awesome, because you just had fun.

yeah so true. I run, and everytime I finish I am at a very high state.

I feel from past experience of high state without exercise. the best way to keep it up is to keep hydrated. the other day at work I was very high in state. so high, the next day, I woke up dead to the world.

I think shadow boxing,hydration and laughing are the best simple forms of getting into state.

Laughing is an excellent way of getting into state. But it's not allways that easy to find something to laugh about. That's why I apply these "techniques" to get into the state I preffer

great stuff unique. very true, i happens to me all the time. i als noticed that if you go out one night, the energy stays throughout the next day. if you dont do something exciting the next day, your mood will probably go down to the low state

This is what I had yesterday:

My state was FUUUUUUUCKin high; already hours before I went out. What I did was indeed music, then stop thinking in words, but only emotions. Just hold on to that great "orgasmīc" emotion. Do that for a while, and it gets STRONGER: upto a certain point where you ACTUALLY HAVE TO SLOW IT DOWN!! By just distracting yourself, since you almost have an orgasm haha it's crazy but that's what it felt like.
THen it subsides to the back of your mind, but it's deff. still there..
You start blasting open sets, warmup sets on the streets, and in the club.

HOWEVER

I hit this point at about 1.30 AM where it suddenly was just GONE..and I was tiiiiired dudes, holy crap. I thought up this metaphore for it:

High state (highest state fuckin ever!) is like a NOS-tank (laughinggas) in a car like in Fast & the Furious. You can give little spurts once in a while to keep you flighing at high speeds, and spread it out..
However you can also use it to give you lightning speed from the start. You USE IT UP IN 1 GO! Like the tank is just EMPTY after a while (it's a physical thing!)...After this all the good-state feelings are gone and you get PHYSICALLY TIRED. I was just done, I had burnt my fuel too fast and too hard..
Does this make sense?

Maybe share your ideas on how to prevent this?

I was thinking start early in day-game, get a few numbers/arrangements for that night...Arrange it...Eat...Powernap for an hour or 2 max...then take them out, be like a fuckin hurricane, put your state into them...then take them/one home for the night (not too late; like 1 am).
