Anyone read any book/watched movie or series with good alpha characters?

    Hi,

Does anyone know any good character from books, movies or series that is a good example of alpha male?

I read Myron Bolitar series and watched Californication and Hank Moody is really the character from which a lot can be learned.

I would appreciate if anyone could recommend any good movie or series or book with good alpha characters.

    Stargate Atlantis

I would go for Joe Flanigan aka Major John Shepphard in Stargate Atlantis.
Also Guy Pearce in Lockout (a movie).

    I definitely third Californication.

Also, some of the characters in Mad Men are fantastic examples of strong, dominant, alpha males. The only problem is that the main character, Don Draper, is the super serious non-smiling type, which isn't actually that attractive to the modern woman. Roger Sterling (the white haired guy), however, is the best because he's stylish, cocky, charismatic, FUN, and alpha at the same time.

Really anything with Will Smith in it, especially 'Hich' since he is a pickup guru in that one. Also, Tombstone.

Ok, so I just watched this film with the family called BIG. It's not your typical alpha male movie, mind you. Still you can deffinitely learn from it. Basically a 13 year old (though he acts a few years younger but still) makes a wish to be a grown up and has to deal with grown up challenges. Along the way he meets a woman at work and ends up dating her.

Here's the thing, he gets the girl with simply a playful, child-like mindframe and attitude. Meaning he's outcome independent and not taking things seriously at all, unlike the other adults in the film. Check it out sometime.

Yeah that movie was awesome! Tom Hanks was awesome. And the girl too.
