All thoughts & actions are sponsored by love or fear. Everything between is along that scale... kinda like that mad seminar skit in Donnie Darko. People close to me have had a difficult time recently & everyone is stronger for it. Everyone's value (personality) has shone through some recent dark times & it's brought us all closer together. Relationships are improved for enduring & evolving through times both good & bad... easy & difficult.

I haven't always acted on love in the purest way... I used to go into relationships looking for what I could get out of them. It was the required lifestyle at the time. It's different now as I repel my past, reversing the polarity of my former attractions. Now I look for what I could invest in a relationship.

The purpose of a relationship for me, is to decide what part of myself I'd like to see 'show up,' not what part of another I can capture & hold onto. Enjoy the journey, that's the only destination.

Rather than just feeling worth loving, I've recently started to feel a strengthening of my feelings toward loved ones. Love cannot be quantified, yet I feel aware of it more than ever. Just growing & evolving.

Understanding what it really is comes from experiencing it in all ways.

Love is a feeling, feelings do not have to be viewed as negative or positive, constructive or destructive, ultimately, feelings are always TRUTHS.

How we express that truth is all that matters.

Love always & all ways.

Let love rule.

Well said, Harle -

Love is like a candle - it may only last a brief time and then sputter out, or it might last indefinately, yet can be snuffed out in just a moment, and then be made to reignite a moment-later, with the right incentive ;)

The MOST important thing, I have found, is to remember that love, like a candle, is ADDITIVE, not exclusive. In other words, if you touch another candle to a lit candle, you end up with twice as much light, and heat, and THAT can then further be extended to ignite further candles, without EVER diminishing the original flame.

I'm going through something similar. and i hope i stay there.:)
you put things a little dreamily - so they register particularly strongly when a guy can identify with it.

I can only describe it as a blank feeling of being ok with loved ones. As if whatever they do, however they are is cool because its all cool. And as the lover who is loving - your almost unaware of yourself and the role you play in the whole flowing effortlessly. i'm talking more than just PU here - this goes for family, friends too.
Maybe thats why romatic love is often feared - your own role in it feels like a blank one of just showing up, so you automatically assume that the other person is doing all the work. Hence is very valuable.

one of the greatest role models i've ever had seemed to love everybody - strangers, 'just met them' and all. Not much of a ladies man... but just damn powerful in himself, and good to be around.
