Ownership Mentality:

Let's say for example that your the owner of a club or a popular venue in your area. How are you going to act when you walk around your place? Will you be friendly and greet people and be a good entertainer? What will your frame of mind consist of?

You see, with every set that you open successfully in a venue and so long as the set was participating moreover having a good time. The whole of the venue will witness this and as such become more receptive to you and your friends otherwise know as wings when you in turn open them.

Now with every mixed set you open you may have some token resistance from the "Alpha male of the group" otherwise know as AMOG. This is for a simple reason...why should he the Ahpha male bow down to some new threat that appears to know a few people, moreover a few nice looking women?

You see you can "Demonstrate Higher Value" or DHV not only by being a funny interesting guy, although remember you are interesting...not interested, but by acting uninterested in the more attractive women in the set. A set is a group consisting of two or more people, a mixed set consists of both male and female members.

Last night I was out with one of my instructors, and let me tell you we opened every set in the venue. We did however encounter 2 AMOGS, one was army and one was navy, well let's just say that ignoring an Amog in some cases is easier said then done. As I had said, we opened every set in the venue including the bouncers.

Statements and gestures made by Amog’s moreover solutions:

AMOG1: "Hey, I’ve had just about enough of you!" - (WALKS OFF)

Rich: What's his problem?

Set: Maybe he's had to much to drink!

Rich: Any way, those girls at the other table have been looking at me for a while now. I'll tell them you guys said hello.

At that point I ejected and open the girls and made them laugh and have a great time as well as perform kino escalation. It was like one of those hidden camera TV shows where I was undercover and the other guys were watching.

Solution, I had DHV by seeming to know every women in the bar. Later on in the evening amog1 comes up to me and says,

Amog1: Hey, I’m sorry about being a dick man. I guess i'm just stressed out for some reason.

Rich: No problem man, I have my bad nights as well, have a good night!

At this time the rest of his set was leaving the bar, they came up to me shake my hand as well as Chad's and asked Chad for the address to our web site again. Of course it's Dashing.org

Now, Amog number two was of the fighting variety. He tried to start a fight with us earlier in the eve for no apparent reason, it was at this point I decided to be cautious of this character.

Amog2: Hey, you got a problem! (Walks up to me and gets in my face)

Rich: No, no problem. Why do you ask?

Amog2: Make sure you don't! (Shoves me and walks anyway)

Rich: Ok, hey nice to meet you guys I’m Rich. (Opens the rest of amog2's set) Is he ok?

Set: Yeah, he just likes to fight when he's drunk.

Rich: Oh, well i have to go talk to those women over their, I think they miss me. Cheers

Set: Later man, sorry about that!

At this point Chad and I had opened the entire Venue. We were talking to every women in the venue and we had put on such a show the general masses loved us for it.

Now about 20min later I walk back over to the bar, Chad is having a drink and I notice amog2 asking Chad if he wants to fight and Chad is ignoring him...

I then stare the guy down and look at him like he’s an idiot, just then the bouncer whom I had opened early Chad had given him relationship advice and I happened to find out he was my friends brothers room mater, I guess Halifax is smaller then I thought.

Any way amog2 shoulders me as he walks by, I then stare at the Bouncer and he steps in and throws the guy out. Amog2 at this point was a wreck, I then go down the set of stairs to watch through the windows as he tries to take on one of the biggest bouncers I have ever saw.

Well I was watching, his friends came up to Chad and I and give us each a beer! How’s that for social proof! Well the moral is every set is tied together don't think outcome think situational flow adapt and over come the venue and have an ownership Frame where ever you are. After all who has more social proof in a venue then the owner or a Celeb?

Cheers,

I stumbled across this a few weeks back when I was going to watch a band play (I know the band members from work). I approached the owner of the bar and started talking to him (assuming that he was the father of one of the band members, I was wrong. :) ) . He assumed by my body language and familiarity that I was the band's manager.
