I'll start by saying I'm by no means all that sexually experienced as I only lost my virginity within the last year but one of the things I did was really study up on oral sex out of fear that I'd be pathetic at traditional penetrative sex due to lack of experience (that and I read that it is actually easier to get a woman off with your tongue than your dick, esp. for those of us that aren't that sexually experienced).

Anyways, from the perspective of an amateur of sorts, I have been able to field test it a bit and can provide some advice to others that might be delving into oral sex for the first time:

1.) Performing oral sex on a woman can be very awkward the first few times you do it (much like penetrative sex). If the vagina were 10x larger than it actually is it'd be easier to get your bearings and implement techniques. But sadly the vagina is relatively small and the first few times I performed oral sex it felt like trying to perform open heart surgery with big bulky gloves on (how do i work this with my fingers while simultaneously licking? There's no room! etc.)
-Don't worry, it gets easier with practice and you'll be able to navigate down there much more elegantly.

2.) Build anticipation through foreplay and whatnot (lots of posts and info on this elsewhere as you probably know).

3.) The clitoris is very sensitive and needs to be "warmed up." Don't immediately go for it.

4.) Don't start with any fingers inside of her. After you've worked up a bit insert a finger or two. IMO it's more powerful and more of a turn on if you make her wait. Also, don't be a dumbass and put more fingers in than she is comfortable with.

An easy technique to start with is:

-Build anticipation through foreplay.

-Gently kiss her inner thighs and slowly work your way up one thigh and across her pubic area, pull the top of her panties down just a bit, but not too much, just an inch or so so you can reveal a bit more skin, but keep her panties on for now! Then work your way down her other thigh, and then stop, look up at her, and if she looks back make eye contact and hold it and give a mischievous smile and then gently kiss her vagina through her panties. If you've done a good job up to this point she should give a delightful moan =)

-Next I gently and slowly remove her panties and start kissing her around her labia (without actually kissing them yet) and her pubic area (above her clit)

-Now your ready to start. -By now she should be feeling pretty good and getting relaxed and into it, as should you.

-Next, do the long licks outlined above. Do them about six more times or so. After the 6th, dab the tip of your tongue on her clit briefly. You might get a satisfied moan when you make contact with it, which sends my self esteem and confidence through the roof! Keep doing that, licking and dabbing the clit (make sure you do the lick slowly, and the bad a bit quicker, whatever you do don't rush through it like a madman, be smooth and cool about it, like your calmly pushing her buttons just the way you know she likes it.

-at this point her clit should be getting very "warmed up" and it might start coming out from underneath the clitoral hood, but don't go for it yet!

-Next, stop with the long licks, cut them in about half as far as distance traveled, start at the top of her vaginal opening and work your tongue up and form a Y around her clit, as in on one lick you take your tongue up and to the left and just graze the side of her clit and continue past it, next lick do the same but to the other side, hence the "Y" mentioned above. Do this for awhile, use your judgement as to how responsive she is. I'd recommend at least 12 times though as a rough guide.

-At this point she should be getting really into it. Use your own judgment, but when i know a girl is really getting into it that's when i insert a finger into her vagina. At this point i dont try and work magic with it, i just try to let her get used to it being up there.

-A great thing you can do is place your index finger inside her and massage the area just below her vaginal opening, basically the "taint." There is erectile tissue there that should be pretty easy to feel, it's closer to the vagina than the ass if that helps. Once your finger has been inside her for a little while I like to start thrusting with it slowly.

-Now she should be perfectly comfortable with you focusing on the clit. The "vacuum" technique above is golden, women really like that. Also, I've found tracing an "S" on her clit, from the top of her clit to the bottom using the smooth side of your tongue works wonders, don't ask me why but "S" seems to be the magic letter. I've had better success with doing the same motions over and over, like the "S", than trying to change it up constantly like the alphabet technique.

-At this point i start stimulating the Gspot with the come hither motion while focusing on her clit. Keep going ad hope she comes. If she doesn't don't worry about it too much, it's good practice for you and if you've done it right it should still feel really really good to her.


It's a pretty simple technique, easy to memorize. There are probably much better ones out there, but the ones I've read are a lot more complex so they aren't for beginners imo. I hope this helps some beginners out. It worked for me. First time I ever got a girl off was using this technique.

Moto - you could be what is known as a 'supertaster' - someone who is over-receptive to certain smells (which is what taste is after all). The only thing I can suggest (and some other may have better suggestions) is only do oral after you've got her in the shower.

Myself - I like to do a combination of the above techniques. I start slowly with inside thighs and a few random kisses around the area and then lick the outer lips first slowly a few times, then go for an 'i' shape where yo lick up the centre then break off and flick your tongue gently over the clit. Yes!!

Exactly the same things as any other kind of unprotected sex, basically. From Herpes to even HIV. Yes, even HIV. Bodily fluids are exchanged and if there is a cut, swollen gums, canker sore in the mouth -- any exposed injury or irritation can increase the risks.

So, either know your partner, or explore the different ways of protecting yourself. Dental dams (I've never had those used on me...ick), even a portion of a condom however you guys manage that one.

Guys! Every woman is different and when it comes to oral you have to be aware of pressure and tempo. Most girls can't take constant pressure directly on the clit. The best way to figure out what works on each woman is to have her masterbate for you first! Really pay attention to her tempo and where she focuses her effort. Then just mimic that with your tongue.

The clitoris actually extends up over the pelvic bone to the abdomen about 9 inches. When she starts to climax (usually lasts about 15 seconds for a woman) you can massage the abdomen which will extend the orgasm for a bit longer (up to 10 sec).

As to actual technique during oral, I've found something that seems to work fairly well. One hand goes around a leg and pulls back her clitoral hood. If things moved fast enough that you didn't have time to discuss favorite techniques beforehand, use feedback to figure out what she likes. Try different techniques and listen for feedback from her. Once you find something that has her trying to levitate off the bed and pull your face inside her, keep doing exactly what causes that. It also helps to have a clock within view.
