Last night after my daytime sarge, met up with my wing but it seems he isn't as comfortable approaching as me and just likes to sit down and chat but I'm itching to approach.
I meet him and he looks better dressed than the last time we met which is good. We go to All Bar one which seems pretty busy and find somewhere to sit down. I notice quite a few potential sets to open and ask my wing if he has seen anyone he would like to open and he has noticed some sets but was making excuses "Oh they seem like they want to be left alone" so I told him if they wanted to come for a quiet drink they should stay at home. As David Deangelo says its your reality and you should treat people as if they are a guest in your reality, not the other way round.
The easiest way for him to approach a set was if we were leaving so he opened them. It wasn't the best of openers "is there a place where they play live music?" and I was a bit slow to help him but they were doign their best to answer him but they didn't really know. He seems to come across as a nice guy and we all know nice guys rarely get anywhere! I did come in eventually and tried to wing but I got us out of that set.
AS we were walking out I approached a 2 set standing at the bar with an opinion opener!
Me: "hi there I need a quick female opinion, who do you think should pay on the first date?
Hb1: can't remember the first girl's answer but it hooked quite well!
Me: "Oh really you sound veyr high maintenance"
Hb1: "well you could go Dutch"
Me: "what? smoke a spliff and go with a prostitute?"
Hbs: both laugh
Me: "This is my friend and he just met this hot girl but doesn't know whether to pay for her or not"
Wing: Says something
Me: "I remember this one time i had a date and I bought this girl dinner but I never saw her again after that"
Hb2: "oh thats just nasty"
The first girl is looking pencive as she is trying to geta drink at the bar so I let her and carry on talking to her friend and then we eject. I was so happy as I used the 3 second rule.
We walk out and down through the city centre and I;m giving my wing tips and things to work on. I show him some more bars and then we move on to another regular bar I go to with some hot girls but it is really crowded! I see a 2 set but they are waiting to get to the bar. One of them looks really sexy with long dark hair and red lipstick but all I do is say "hey I think you cna get in there" letting her into the bar! I also notice some big Bold guy in a 5 set and he is talking to one girl. I don;t know whether he knows them or not but I didn;t feel comfortable enough to open anyone there except ask these women if there was anyone sitting in their seated booth so me and my wing sit down and chat. He had to go to the toilet at one point so i'm left sat there lookign like a spare part and not talking to anyone so this is somethig I need to work on even if its chatting to UGs and other guys!
He had bought a smirnoff Ice and I'm determined not to sarge under the influence of alcohol as it is more or less like cheating but he says it helps him a little bit and the annoying thing is it takes him ages and as I'm feeling uncomfortable in a male dominated enviroment I just want to go.
Next Bar has an upstairs, plenty of sets and I missed out on opening a curvy blonde at the bar but I noticed later she is being chatted up by some chodes. She seemed to be dancing with this one guy and his friends but I don't know if she knew them or not! Ahh well its her loss!
I don't know what it is but I seem to have more success with foreign girls. It could be do with the fact I am Half foreign myself and I like the exotic but most of my closes have been with foreign girls! But last night I didnt' close but it was still a good night.
Well I take him to this other bar which is awesome as it has live music, some guy playing the piano and singing. There were plenty of sets to open but I was slightly hesistant. I notice some Hot Spanish girls looking around and one catches my eye, probably looking at me! It was so cramped and its taking so long to get served that I'm goign to need intovenus drips of water so I don;t die of thirst. As I'm at the bar trying to get served theres and average looking MILf being chatted up by some tall guy and although he has some godo energy she obviously isn;t interested but is teasing him as she probably loves the attention. At first I thought she looked hot but on closer glance she was probably in her late 30s to early 40s and only about a 5.5/6 so don't!
I get out drinks and we go to stand at the other end of the bar near the Spanish girls where I try to evesdrop on them as I can understand Spanish. IT takes me a whiel before I open them but i was doing well even with teh language barrier! I open them!
They are all 8s and above and the one I like is a 9.5 with long dark wavy hair and gorgeous lips!
Me: "hi are you all Spanish?"
Hb1: she acts as interpreter! This turns out to be so funny!
I'm trying to speak Spanish to teh one who can't speak any English
Me: "so where are you from?"
Hb2: she tells me in Spanish
Me: "ok"
My wing has earlier been looking at them but I think he may have creeped them out I don't know!
I made sure earlier I had my back to them and acted liked a Hot Hb10!
Hb1: "do you know any other bars we can go to"
Me: I start to tell them but it is loud and the language barrier is a factor even with my language skills. I'm not fluent in Spanish but I'm doing my best!
I try to venue change with them but I guess they didn;t understand. I thought it was too much effort and we ejected!
Next bar we go to, again penty of sets and I was ready to open but again didnt'. I try to get my wing to open but he is too conscious that the set we both see is a large group and it would be hard so we both eject!
As we're walking towards the last bar and the first bar we started at I decided to redeem myself and opened these 2 girls with the Jealous girlfriend opener. My wing tells me he has trouble remembering openers and what else comes next so i suggested he write out a cheat sheet!
So I spot these 2 girls near the cashpoint as their friend is getting money.
Me: "Hi I need a quick female opinion" I smile as i open
Me: "Would you date a guy who was still friends with his ex?"
Hb1: "No"
Me: "oh really, well my friend here (I introduce my wing and he just gives a weak wave and says "hi") has met this girl and she burned his photos of his ex"
Hb2: "what a psycho"
Me: I turn to my wing and say "hey you need to dump her"
we eject and go to the next bar and find somewhere to sit down and just chat. But ofcourse while he is talkign I have noticed other sets I want to open. We finish our drinks and I was determined not to leave without opening a set.
Again I used the Jealous girlfriend opener: It hooks quite well and I eject as this who is a boyfriend of one of teh girls comes but fortunately it was ok as he was only talking to her! Thankgod he didn;t ask me what the hell I was doing because I had nothing prepared so ejected.
So what i learned, the 3 second rule should always be obeyed and even if you have nothing else just go back to canned openers. It doesn't matter if it seems lame because other peopel have used them, just do it but make sure you root them. This should help you guys who can't think of anything else to say and need to open some hot girl.
Something else, never be afraid to open a set even if they are deep in conversation. WHO CARES! If they wanted to be left alone they should not be in a busy bar where hot intelligent guys might start charming them.
There never is a best time to approach so approach anyway and not give a dam. If you can entertain the set and keep their interest it doesn't matter what they were talking about before you approached them as long as it is girl relevant and can keep them laughing.
Never underestimate the value of warming up by asking for the time or directions. This should be easy to all you guys just starting out!
