Hey all...

Just got back from the Atlantic City 2007 Bootcamp. I know
before I signed up for a BC, I read every review I could
find, so I figured this could help others out about knowing
what it's like. (Plus some of the students in the class
said they wanted to post some comments here...which means
time to kick off the thread).

INSTRUCTORS: Major thanks to Matador and Brock for
helping making my Sat night success happen (I kept
hammering them both with questions when I was in set - see
below). Matador's main role is a guest instructor during
the day, and someone to demo what is possible at night.
(Yes, everything you've read about his "powers" is
true.)...so the opportunity to get critiques and feedback
from him was good.

Hawaii was very down to earth and was all about giving us
practical "how to" info that would work in field.
Unfortunately, I never got to open sets with him (simply
because of logistics each night...I ended up with Matador
or Brock)...but the people who worked with him had good
things to say. He's low key and very "chill" - which goes
a long way in my book. And also helped get A1-A2 material
stack going for us - thanks for giving us HOFBELS Hawaii!

Brock is great - he's got style and I thought he was very
cool (turns out we have a very similiar background, so I
really hit it off with him...and he gave me great advice to
hit the kiss close).

And a new star on the scene (who will probably
become a new trainer for VA at some point) was Knack.
Every student was raving about him - he stayed with us
every single minute of the weekend and was only concerned
with making sure we were learning stuff. He was very
aggressive about getting people into sets. At first, that
turned me off, but I very quickly warmed up to him and have
a lot of respect for his style and personality (I heard
nothing but praise for him). Keep your eye out for this
guy - thanks for being so helpful Knack.

PROS: Being in a long-term relationship up
until recently, this weekend was a "drink from the
firehose" experience since I haven't had a chance to go out
and do this in the past. My goal going into it was a kiss
close...and after Friday's "demo night" (where you see the
trainers in action) - I was suddenly realizing how complex
this is and decided to settle for just good A1, A2 and A3
for Sat night.

Well, come Sat night (after building up confidence on
Saturday during our roleplaying, etc.) - I realized it
would be possible. In fact, I was fortunate enough to open
a few sets each night with Matador himself...and while I
was aiming to open 10+ sets on Saturday night..the 2nd set
I opened...I locked in with (not going to share ALL the
details here)...and spent 2 hours with my gal (Matador was
on the other side of our VIP booth with his gal)...and
ended up kiss closing her using help from Brock and some
kino techniques from Knack and Matador. While there was
still better A2/A3 that could have been done...WOO HOO. :)
I also did open a couple other hot sets too.

And I kissed her at the end of the night (she kissed me a few
times before she left actually) and number closed her.
Considering this was first time really out gaming at this
level, I was quite happy - and she even had a head on her
shoulders and some good brains. ;)

The combination of "infield" and "theory" was very
valuable. ALL of the trainers knew their shit cold. There
was no BS with them - they are the real deal. Let's just
say they had very good evenings both nights. ;)

CONS: I'll be honest, I gave them a poor
review on the forms early in the day Sunday when were asked
to review (it was mainly the "workshop" portion I felt this
way about - not necessarily because of the content, but
because of the way it was run). The way the forms were set
up, I really didn't have an "inbetween" option. I would
revise my review now a bit based on the content covered
later in the day on Sunday and the chance to have my
personal questions answered by Hawaii and Matador.

The biggest drawbacks I (and from talking with other
students) experienced was a lack of organization during the
day portions.

A 5 minute break would last 30 minutes. And while we always
went several hours late, we never started on time (Sunday
ended at 1am...and Matador was covering GREAT content...but
if we hadn't started 2.5 hours late on Sunday...we wouldn't
have ended that late either - we did debriefs with Knack
starting on time on Sunday, but most of us had already
discussed our field reports with each other at that point,
instead of needed to do it for another 2.5-3 hours before
things got started). And sometimes we'd get off on a
tangent from a student question that had nothing to do with
where were in the workshop or what Matador or Hawaii were
covering.

Many of us were also hoping to get the "routine guides"
they were passing around for us to look at, but alas, they
wouldn't give us a copy of them...which left us to either
sit there and hand copy anything that sparked our interest
(and miss out on the teaching being shared during the day
while we tried to furiously hand copy tons of material).

Yes, really artful game isn't about routines...but about
the psychology behind the interaction...and the MPUAs
teaching us...definitely don't rely on routine guides. But
for us newbies...that type of stuff is needed in the
beginning (especially at $4k/person - that's not a small
amount, especially for many of the students there). I've
been to a good deal of $5k, $10k and $15k bootcamps,
seminars and workshops in a variety of niches - so I'm
using that as my baseline for this and for how they can be
run and delivered. I know the company is still very young,
so hopefully the professionalism of the way the event is
run (and the handouts you get) will improve for future BCs.
It should for the investment.

OVERALL: It was a good learning experience
that really opened my eyes to what is possible. And it
also opened our eyes to how this impacts OTHER areas of
your life too - it's not about getting laid all the time
(it can be if that's what you want though)...it's got a lot
greater implication for how you approach your life and
challenges.

This is a high pricepoint obviously and the real value will
come from this if you are willing to go outside your
comfort zone a bit (you can only expect so much from
external forces)...and if you are willing to ASK QUESTIONS
when you are confused or stuck.

Even though I came down hard on how the day portion was
run, the trainers were all VERY accessible and
willing to answer ANYTHING and EVERYTHING asked. For me,
that interaction was very valuable...far beyond anything
you can get in a book (especially since the TV show burned
some of the good lines from the book).

You simply can't make this type of progress this quickly
without a BC-type coaching experience.

Also, there was value (as there is at any live event)
in the networking portion. I made some great new friends,
both with the students AND the trainers. A $4k
customer/student is much different than a $20 book buyer,
so you're getting people who aren't just talking about
it...but who are actually doing it and serious about
investing into it. This is something I can see continuing
with - and already have plans to get back in the field with
some of the folks from this weekend. (And I could see
myself working in field with some of the trainers again).

Okay - that's all folks...time for dinner. Hopefully that
helps those of you who are unsure or are on the fence! :)

Best wishes,
TMM

What up to my fellow gamers out there that wondering and thinking about us this weekend.

First and for most thank to Matador, Brock, Hawaii and Super Knack( thats right super)

I must say the show is an understatement to the things that these guys can do, especially when you are up close and watching things in demo mode. Matador does make things look so easy in set, but at the same time there is alot of mechanics to what he's doing it really in mayhem when he's in set
For example ( Imagine you are grinding on one girl, then your merging the set and your gaming another girl at that) At one point there was Time when Matador was going straight cave man on this girl that had fake tits, he was so f*cking good that he rubbed his face in her tits. ( and yes he will teach you how to go straight caveman) Overall he had us on the edge of our seat with his lecturing skills. He brought his material alive in the classroom, by making sound do clear.

On to my man Brock, Who I felt his style in very reminiscent of how I think I will be in time. We both dance, which was sick and he has this charasmatic game that I feel is hiding inside of me, He awokened my more playful side of game, telling me to smile more and be more playful. When I implemented this into my game It really worked like a charm. I got to spend alot of time with him in set on demo night. I took some of the routines that he has and I can't wait to use them here in NY.

Hawaii was a good lecturer, he was great for gambits, routines, negs and cocky and funny material. He was very focused on us on friday night which was good. And he literally forced us into sets which killed alot of AA. He demoed on time for us, he really showed us hoe to neg the shit out of a grl that threw alot of shit tests. One thing abut Hawaii is that he really keeps his cool.

To be honest theres gonna be a reason i keep this line short. If u meet him u'll know why I did. KNACK IS THE FUCKIN MAN. ( thank you bro for taking care of me all weekend.)

As for Friday night the club started of slow but as the night went on it started to fill up, My first set Matador coached me, I was using the routines, keeping this girl in awe. Matador literally came next to me and told me to do more kino, ( which is so crucial). Overall My friday was mediocre, Really didnt do to well only opening 5 sets, Brock and matador told me that I needed to KINO more and also locking in. My problem on friday was to get more into A3

Saturday was the complete opposite, Where I opened like 9 sets. Knack was the one who saw all of them. He was really coaching on satrday. But the way i Kinoed and locked in and handled the obstacles and everthing else was told to me was like poetry in motion, at least knack said that. I on the other hand know I could havedoone alot better, although i did number close. Remember Kosmo on the show when he had the two girls on his hands, that was me saturday night. It was really a complete turn around.

The one thing I wish I did have was a little more coaching from matador and brock on saturday, but I guess the thought I was fin, who knows.

The one thig that you should know about the bootcamps, they can turn out where everyone is occupied in set and your wanting a coach to watch you, dont get mad and just stand there. What you should do is just keep on opening sets. There are gonna be students that need more attention so donn't take it personal. I did but Im over it because irealized that I actually was fine.
There will be times when the instructors are occupied, and there's know one to coach you. Just grab your balls and open a set, and don't get mad

That was the one con about the bootcamp( more quality time) I wish there was more time management as well, So I do agree with music man.

But again I learned so much more by taking the boot camp than by reading a book or watching you tube. I cant wait to c u all again thaks fellas for this life changing weekend.

Thanx 2 Hawaii, Matador, Brock, and Knack (who is the fucking bomb).

Muzik man basically said it all - so check his feedback.

Bottom line, if you have the $$, you have to go and see it for real. The skills and art are something that need to be witnessed. Every instructor has crazy game and they are all mad cool. Matador's game is also all its hyped to be. I had the chance to bounce with him and two gurls on the second night and watch him run solid game. That in itself was worth the price of admission.

thanx: Thanx Hawaii for running the bootcamp, helping me one on one, and 4 being so fucking cool! Thanx Brock and Knack for taking the time to work one on one with me each night and for helping me with my game.

Ultimate benefits: 1) All the instructors were crazy accessable and willing to share knowledge; 2) Meeting a lot of up and coming PUAs who are mad cool.

Make sure you guys make Knack an instructor! Back in the Miami bootcamp I only opened up one set, but in AC Knack wouldn't let me fail. He kept pushing me into sets, even if I didn't have a lot of material to use. It made me realize that all this time I was scared to approach women, it wasn't really anything serious. I got blown out a whole bunch of times simply because I wasn't doing everything correctly. Either I wasn't approaching right, not talking loud enough, not having enough energy and enthusiasm, not locking in, etc... But the thing was that all these times that I got blown out, nothing really happened to affect me. It felt just like a video game. I fucked up in the first level and just kept moving on to retry it on other people, until finally I actually made it into A3 with one girl and pulled her out to dance. Throughout all the sets I opened, Knack would point out exactly what I was doing wrong, so now I know what to watch out for.

Hawaii was great by giving me a new opener and helping me test it out on people in the casinos before I actually used it. Everybody thought I looked like a young Sammy Hagar from Van Halen, except my hair was shorter and dark brown, so I incorporated that into an opener. He was also helpful in giving me and the rest of the students interesting A2 gambits and routines that we can use to keep the conversation going. My problem in Miami was that I didn't get many routines. Hawaii gave me so many I could last in A2 for a while, even without telling any DHV stories.

Matador was the man! The guy is just so passionate about what he does and teaches that you just feel his energy. Whenever he started teaching, I just couldn't look away, he was just that interesting to watch and listen to. Plus, he really helped me understand A3 a lot more. I now understand more about how to caveman and be aggresive, and he also helped me understand more about my identity. I couldn't understand something about my core values, and he only guessed at it by how he read me and helped me see things a lot clearer.

I didn't spend a lot of time with Brock in field, but when I did he was always boosting me up with confidence and letting me know that I was doing so much better. He's a really cool guy. He also had some very cool things to say during the class, especially the Pirates or Ninjas routine.

What made the experience better than Miami too was the other students that attended. Miami was such a big class, but in AC I was able to get to know everybody a lot better, especially since the instructors involved us so much more, instead of just teaching non stop. One of the guys, Chris # 2 helped me see that I really need to get out of my current job, go back to school and build a better future for myself....Thanks man!

Overall, the experience I had in AC was phenomenal. I felt so much more involved and came back with much more experience than the Miami bootcamp. I wanted to thank all the bootcamp instructors again, especially Knack for getting me out there in the first place and killing my approach anxiety. I hope to join you guys again some time in the future, hopefully with better game.

Also, I sent out an email to all my fellow students about the MySpace group, so we can all keep in touch. Check your email and join up as soon as you can. I look forward to speaking with you all.
