well the issue is that i know what kind of stuff i like just based off of stuff that i see..i just dont know where i can find that kind of stuff....like for example the shirts and the thermal-ish textured clothes that have all of the crazy designs on them but still arent over the top in terms of like crazy colors and shit...kind of like what j-dog wears on The Pickup Artist...where do you find that kind of stuff cuz i damn sure cant find it at the mall...or maybe im just looking in the wrong places?

Hi,
1. There's a store called Buckles...it's a chain...they carry trick stuff. They probably have a web site....but they are in shopping malls nationwide U.S. i think. They have great jeans, t's, accessories....everything...but their stuff fits small. I can't fit into it.
2. I can't remember if it's this forum on themm forum where they posted
peacock photos.
3. Abercrombie has leather stuff for wrist and neck gear...or some of the
stores do.
4. T shirts are hard to find...Buckles is the best if their stuff fits. If not,
you just have to start shopping stores. You'll find 1 good shirt here and
there.
5. There's a chain called Eckos I think. It is an Ecko (think I spelled it right)
shirt line. Cool stuff. Try those discount places where they have all the
discount stores. Look for shirts and pants that are either way cool or
good conversation starters.
6. Lids is in some mall stores....or lids.com. GREAT hats.
7. Ross has some decent T's cheap.
The peacocking makes a BIG difference if you do it right. Wear just a few
things. Don't go out there looking like Mystery unless you got great game.
You know, maybe a chain or two on your neck and 1 on your wrist and a
cool shirt. Depends where you live what you wear.
8. If you look good, your sets will open easier. That is how you know you
did it right. If the outfit doesn't come together, your sets will open harder.
Now, this IS a crutch for new people. I honestly think after you build up
your opening skills, you can do it without the crutch. I'm not there yet.
9. Hats -- I'm missing hair but didn't wanna spend 10g's for a hair
transplant. I used to wear caps but they weren't ultra COOL. Now, I wear
stuff that is DISTINCTIVE.
Whatever you buy, be distinctive. You don't wanna look like a carbon copy
of other Mystery students. YOu know, try to find boutique shops....I
ddrove literally to another city and ended up buying only 1 pair of totally
rocking jeans but it was worth it.
10. I've found that shirt, hat, jeans, accessories...they have to work
together...Like I had a multicolored hat with a patterned T. It was too much
color and bombed. I changed hats to a single color and it worked better.
11. I have some wrist stuff that can only be worn with some things. You
have to know what goes with what.
12. Here are some resources I found on another site...some pix of a few
things:

I could never buy clothes online... I just have to see how it fits and looks...
In terms of clothes - you just gotta find a style that works for you. Something that works for someone else, may not work for you, or vice versa. Don't worry about trying to look like someone else - just find something that looks good on you, and is somewhat peacocky.
From your description of the types of clothes you like, it seems like you're describing graphic t's. If I'm on the mark with that... I can tell you dude that you can find shirts like this almost anywhere. I've found them in JC Pennys, Lord and Taylor, Macys, Hot Topic (sort of a gothic chain around where I live), Abercrombie/American Eagle/Old Navy (although personally, I don't like a lot of the stuff they sell... they do have *some* selection of graphic t's) as well as a bunch of other designer/hip clothing stores...
I'm into graphic t's as well - some of my favorites come from designers such as Nautica, DKNY, Calvin Klein, Arizona, Guess. They're relatively inexpensive as well if you can find them in department stores (as I did) such as JC Penny's, Macy's, etc. I tried to find some quick pictures of the type of stuff they each sell, but their sites blow and I'm too lazy to search much beyond that.
*EDIT* I just remembered - someone mentioned a while back a website that sells decent men's clothing for peacocking - International Male. It has some interesting stuff - might be for you, might not be. But regardless of what you think of the majority of their stuff, they do have some pretty neat graphic t's (in addition to other things - I love some of the jackets they sell). Somewhat expensive, but not horrible.

Hi,
I don't know of ANY major city that doesn't have a discount store
mall. I recommend that.
http://www.buckle.com is the online store for buckles....you can LOOK
at what they got and then find similar stuff in the stores you DO got.
You got a Dillards?
I bought about 5 totally trick Tshirts in there....wearing 1 right now....
They got some great T's. I'm also wearing a nice, beat up looking cap with an Ace on it I bought there.
You might go to the Lair section and find the closest Lair to you and PM those guys and ask 'em where they shop.
LOTS of stores carry the Ecko line....it's huge...and they have some great stuff. ROSS even carries Ecko stuff cheap.

I was actually at The Buckle today and I agree, they have some GREAT stuff. Some of it gets quite spendy, but there are some good buys too. I picked up a GREAT watch face and band (nice because you can have a custom watch) for less than $70. There are some great shirts and they have some awesome shoes and boots...I will be back there later this week to get some more stuff...and btw, really kewl 5 set while I was there (all the employees).

Please tell me you've been to Tyson's Galleria! If not, then go...now! With stores like Neiman Marcus and Versace, if you can't find great stuff there to peacock, I'm not sure you'll find stuff anywhere. Sure, you might blow a month's salary (or two), but you'll walk away with something tight.
Wish I had realized it when I lived there.

This ant guy is about the most incongruent guy I've ever seen. Everything about him is common and frat boyish except for this tacky accessories.

Well,
This was the only post I found when I was beginning that had PICTURES of
anyone peacocking....
So it inspired me to go out and be a little balsy and find some stuff. Yeah,
his style isn't mine...but by seeing the pix, I got the idea...and frankly, some
inspiration. Like the guy's dress or not, to me he had balls.
Here's a link to the larger fashion thread where there are LOTS of posts and
resources.....and some more PIX:

It's the old MM forum...it would be kewl to start a fashion topic on
VenusianArts.
Those glasses were outrageous but I bet they are money in a club if you
got some tude to go along with them.

Do you know if you can combine orders to save on shipping costs? Some of these shirts look pretty good.

It says on their website you have to email them and let them know. I just don't know how I feel about waiting up to 4 weeks for my shirts

While i tend to be into a more "underground hip hop" look than rocker or whatever, this site consistently has more dope stuff than any other site i've ever visited... and while the peacock "theory" is still new to me, I have always been able to pull a ton of abstract stuff off this site... I hope theyre around forever...
