I don't have too many text frame battles. I think the worst thing I could have done here was to cave into her demands and give my age. I also think I demonstrated the willingness to walk away, but I'm not really into comfort with this girl so I'm not sure thats a good think.

Bottom line, I'm not sure how I'm going to re-initiate contact. Which reminded me... highschool was a different ballpark because you were guarenteed to see the person EVERY DAY NO MATTER WHAT!

Heres my convo...

HB: Hey mike!... I was wondering... how old the f* r u? (cause sex and the city is all about mature men and stuff!haha!)
ME: Who is this? <- I was joking
HB: Samantha
ME: If I remember correctly you were terrible in bed...
HB: You r thinking of one of yr ex's probably... but still, what's yr f* age?!
ME: I'm old enough to know not to answer that question. And yes, I'm dead serious!
HB: Well if u r dead serious, then u wont have a prob answering my question!
ME: That doesn't make any sense. I should be more concerned with hold old you are.
HB: I'll tell u if u tell me! but why r u making such a big deal? it's just a number right?! ;)
ME: I actually dont really care how old you are so I'm going to make you tell me something really embarrassing instead.
HB: Why don't u leave the dirty talk 4 some more appropriate time and tell me yr age baby boy?
ME: Baby boy? Haha, that is definately now how you get what you want from a guy!
HB: U don't know me that well! I always do! Plus... why r u avoiding it so much? come on! just a hint :) (big eyed smile!)
ME: My age is no big secret. What's more interesting is how badly you want to know!

HB: Nope! We r not gonna talk later sweetie :) now or never! is it so f* hard to say?!
ME: That sucks, so I have to take someone else to the hockey game? I hate you!

Not bad. You busted her and didn't jump through her hoops. Good job. If it had been me I would have accused her of trying to seduce me when she mentioned dirty talk. And then gone on to tell her that all her blatent sexual advances will be to no avail on me as I am saving myself for marriage/taken a vow of abstinence!

If you wanted to give her your age you should have asked her to guess high or low (she guesses) and then given her the answer - this is straight out of VAH - make her jump through your hoops and then answer.

Also, I don't think it matters what you say in your next text message to reinitiate the convo. If it were me I'd say(as it looks like you are trying to get her to go to a hockey game with you): "Are you still coming to the hockey game with me or do I have to ring up Jessica Alba and take her instead?"

I just regret steering the conversation into not taking her to the game. Making that statement was pretty risky.

Your advice reminds me of a text I sent a girl after bumping into her a few times on the street. She accused me of stalking her, I said, yeah whatever Ive got to go! I send her a text later that said "Now why can't I bump into Adrianna Lima as much as I bump into you?"

Looks like that girl is playing you like a violin. There's never a hero in a battle of ego, and this seems to be an issue of your pride against hers and neither of you is going to give in.

One question--why did you keep texting her? Calling is always a better option; you can more easily control the frame when the contact is more personal.

You argued this way to much and made it into a big deal. Only time to ever do this (when she wants your age or my middle name technique) is for a compliance test, one in person, not for text messaging. The "guess" hoop should have been done immediatly and then change the thread to something else. The problem is yes it is fun and playful and creates attraction with what you're doing but it hurts you in 2 areas. First it makes her more defiant unless your specifically using this for a compliance, but when it's just general like this she will be defiant towards EVERYTHING until she gets what she wants. Second when she DOES get your age it's gonna seriously hit her on how it really isn't a big deal. She'll feel really disappointed for hyping it up so much in her mind and guess who she'll blame for her negative feelings...thats right you.

So what to do now?...

Have a convo with her again and DO NOT bring it up. Chances are she will eventually cause she wants that dejavu feeling of attraction. Tease her a little about how cute she is that she cant drop it and then use the "guess" hoop and then your done with it. She'll get disappointed so immediatly go into another attraction material that can transition from this.

ex. "You: You know it really is adorable how persistent you are...you get 2 points for being a girl who knows what she wants and goes for it...When you get to 10 you can even have a prize.

HB: what's the prize?

You: It's a little something I like to call...you'll see."

Are there any more suggestions about winning the frame? I know this is a gray area, but I need help. It seems I took things a little far in the wrong direction. These ego battles have been happening more as I try to control the frame, and it's causing problems.
