Hey guys,
Let me first say, I'm totally new to the craft. I've only been really into it for about a week now, and yes I did join here because of VH1 (sorry.) About a year ago, my brother read The Game and bought the 5 DVD set, and I dismissed it as another "Get hot chicks quick!" scheme...
...But...I've been researching it for the last few weeks, and have totally come around. I've realized it's less to do with bagging chicks, and more is an important social tool. I have a girlfriend, and am totally committed, and have been reading up on the MM as a way of social interaction, not just getting chicks. It's non-threatening, non-dismissing, and very open. It includes everyone, and if you augment it a little (maybe stop before the kiss close), it's a great way to make friends.
I think it's excellent because it stresses being social, and does so in a way that totally removes social anxiety (through practiced routines.) Negs work on everyone, not just a chick you wanna fuck. Everyone seeks validation with everyone else.
Does anyone else see the MM as not just a way to get chicks? I feel like it works with HBs, Ugly B's, dudes, Teachers, etc etc. (I mean obviously you have to change some stuff around...but it totally works.)

PS OK so I'm gonna ask you guys to critique my opener (I know its a newbie move, but I think it's pretty good):
Me: I got a quick question to ask you guys. Do you think pink shirts are lame on guys or not?
Girl: XXX
Me: ...Hm...Well me and my girlfriend [dunno about this part] were arguing about this. She thinks it's totally gay, but I think it depicts an air of confidence. Like that guy on that VH1 show [teehee]...he wears tophats and goggles and shit, but he carries it in such a way that it's not gay. It's cool.
Girl: XXX
[segue into another routine that I made up because I think it fits well...oh and it's true!]
Me: Let me ask you something. Let's pretend you're adventurous [subtle neg?] and decide to go out in like a really short skirt [area for a funny joke like "I mean like skanky Britney short" or some shit.] You'd be more careful about how you present yourself, right?
Girl: Yeah, sure
Me: Good, because I was on the bus earlier today, and this chick sits down with a really SHORT skirt. At this point the skirts riding up to the point where she shows her trashy blue panties to the whole bus! Now she wasn't attractive, but even if she was, its just skanky! So, I'm a gentleman, and could use a little laugh, so I lean forward and ask her "...c'mon...really!?" She gives me an incredulous look...so I lean in closer and ask..."Is your ass cold?"
Girl: NO YOU DIDN'T! What'd she say!?
Me: So she turns bright red and gets mad at me! I mean, I'm just lookin' out for her, and here she is, pissed that I called her out! Can you believe that?!
Girl: XXX!!!
Me: [pulls down pants and bones her]
Let me know what you guys think of it and how I should tweek it...and Yes, it's a true story (I might've just said it to her to get a good story out of it :D)
