I was at a bar earlier to kill a few hours while my hb spent some time with her family at home. At the bar, I saw a hb I was interested in. I tried to chat her up and befriended the guy next to me.
However, something dawned that I was already aware of. Servers are hard to pick up because so many guys already hit on them and their chief focus is on making tips. I know this due to working in the food and beverage industry for a few years. Any form of chatter, pick up, talk is seen as a way of making more money for them.
And it seems that game didn't work on her either. Openers (who lies more, men or women?; ESP number game; some negs; peacocking) had no effect on her. She would put on her fake smile, fake laugh and chat then roll her eyes when I did any of those things.
To me, I don't really give a shit. Hell, I even called her the Miley Cyrus of asians cause me and my new found buddy at the drinking table agreed with me on that point. She even called me out on that one and said she gets that a lot (I was attempting to neg her while using it as an opener for small chit chat).
Anyway, it got me thinking. What kind of game is effective against these robots whose only concern is making as much tips as possible and doing their job? Hard to get a rapport with them when they are use to game and natural conversation and turning it into more gains for tips on their part.
