I'm trying to practice my disqualification because I feel like somehow I'm still showing a bit too much interest. Can disqualifications take the form of talking about your "girlfriend" and then later say something like "oh i mean my EX gf". Or something like "You are NOT my type." Would these disqualifications be too strong so that it kills all chances of gaming the girl further?
Also how can you show better active disinterest? It seems like just the fact that you are talking to them is showing interest. Thx guys.

I find thats where light negs and cocky and funny helps. Now the more experienced here will be able to correct me if I'm wrong.....yes you might be showing interesting by talking to them, thats fine. But by not doing what every AFC does and treating her like God's gift to the world and saying C+F stuff like "You know, I don't think this relationship is gonna work out, I'm gonna break up with you......I'm taking the Porche and house!" or "Is she always like that, how do you girls roll with her?" is helps convey some playful dis-interest.
Also you body language can be used to convey disinterest -- back turns, the way your body is facing the set, you could be talking to the set and look off somewhere else in the club and bring back your attention to the set etc.

An opener is a form of an IOI...you are indicating interest in so far as requesting information.
In addition, because of the meta-frame of the situation (guys hitting on girls in bars), more often than not, it will be interpreted as a pick-up. That is why throwing a FTC (False Time Contraint) and slight NEG suppresses the IOD (Indicator of Disinterest) feeling that will start to generate in the girl's emotional circuitry.
However, this is not always the case. Sometimes, when you open a set the girls will be instantly attracted because of what you look like or some other factor. It would be bad-timiing to throw an uncalibrated NEG here.
My suggestion?
Follow the microcalibration model in ch. 6 of VAH.

I agree with Vegas....body language is HUGE on this and can convey much more than words. After you open, continue listening to what they are saying, but dont look like you're focusing DEEPLY on it. Instead, listen, but look away every now and then and nod like you're saying hi to someone...or just look around the club like what she's saying doesnt matter. At first, dont entirely face her. Keep your hips slightly turned away from the group and "body rock" (hard to describe) to make it look lilke you're going to leave at any second. The body rock itself is like a False Time Constraint and an IOD.
If you feel you're conveying too much interest, definitly check your body language. It means much more than u think.

Hi,
Where is the Microcalibration Model in Ch.6 of the VAH e-book?
Can't find it unless you are just talking about the diagram under "Compliance" next to the Compliance Momentum subheading
