"I'm Famous" Routine

I'm just pasting a part of my last field report and you can figure it out. It really spiker her BT.

HBWaitress: "Hello! How are you today?"
Vann: "AWESOME! And how bout yourself?!"
HBWaitress: *giggles* Great! Want me to walk you to your table?
Vann: "I'd really love it if you do, but I'm on my way to the bathroom, do you wanna walk me in there?" *smirk*
HBWaitress: "Well, I can shake it off for ya in the bathroom if you like!"
Vann: "Wh-WHAT!?"
HBWaitress: "Just kidding!" *giggles*
Vann: "Good, coz I'd have had to charge you if you did that"
HBWaitress: "Err… don't you mean that YOU have to pay me!?"
Vann: "Of course not! Don't you know who I am?!?!"
HBWaitress: *giggles* "Riiiight!"
Vann: "No really! Don't you recognize me from TV?!?!"

Now she's not sure to believe me or not so she giggles but I keep a straight-face now and look dead-serious

Vann: "Okay, let me narrow it down for ya. It's a show on the FOX 11 channel"

Now her facial expressions are serious and she tries to figure it out.
HBWaitress: "I don't know. I'm sorry!"

I crack a huge smile

Vann: "That's coz I'm not on TV!"
*punches me in the arm*
Vann: "Wow! You are so fuckin' gullible!"

Basically pretend like you're expecting to be recognized by the girl because you're on TV. Then give a clue to show her you're serious. After she takes the bait, break it with a smile and tool her for being so gullible

Well, don't use it as an opener. I used it early on in this example coz the girl was open and friendly. Heck, she started joking around with me so I knew it was safe.

Generally, make sure they're warmed up to you then try to bring it up in a way. I did it by being cocky funny and pointed out that she should pay me if she wants to shake me off which led to me justifying it by pointing out that I'm on TV. There are so many celebrities here in LA, so it made it more believable too.

I know someone from Bravo's forum who used it and said it worked well for him. Try it out a few more times and see if it'll get you better results :D
