Salutations

Has anyone read a book called Be Here Now, by Richard Alpert aka Ram Dass? Although I don't usually gravitate towards such books, I found this one to be a real gem, and use its message to boost my confidence pretty often. Summed up, Mr. Alpert basically says the following: in order to fully embrace the present and thus take full advantage of it and your own abilities, one must always be in a certain mindset. Although a person should have overall goals, it is important to get rid of all preconceptions and expectations for the present and accept the current situation as reality. I take this as meaning in the field, its important not to think in terms of success and failure.
Whatever your present situation, the way you look, etc, good or bad, is simply reality. With this in mind, I try to get rid of any expectations I have for the night, positive or negative, and once I get rid of those expectations and accept reality at face value, I find my inhibitions also disappear. Then, in order to get the best experience that night, I try my best, with MM technique and high energy etc, to steer the night's reality towards my ideal goal. I find I can do this by approaching sets and gaming them at my most confident, and with the above philosophy in mind, it's much easier to do, as I simply have no preconceptions as to whether I'll succeed or fail, nor, with practice, do I especially care. I simply try to gravitate myself and the set towards a better reality of a more fun/ fulfilling night, and I do this by avoiding anything unpleasant or mood- killing, and always embracing the elements existing that help to build a connection and raise the mood/ energy level. Gradually, I begin to "block out" all the aspects of the set that I find unpleasant. This can be done by actions or mannerisms, and basically means pulling the set into your ideal reality, and ignoring or subtly punishing any negative vibes the target/ set throws at you. If you truly accept the present situation without inhibitions or preconceptions, and then try sincerely to steer it towards a better reality, without caring about consequences, you automatically fit most girls' image of a confident, attractive guy, who can pull them into their mindset and version of reality, and totally annihilate the barrage of bore out there who constantly serve as downers towards the girls current reality.
Women, perceptive creatures that they are, can really sense your inner confidence, your lack of inhibitions, your lack of expectations, the fact that your value is high enough to really not care which way the set goes, but that you have enough confidence to steer it towards your own version of ideal reality. This confidence is truly attractive to them, as every girl is a romantic and wants a guy that can, pardon the cheese, "sweep them off their feet" and lead them into a more romantic, exciting mindset. I find that when I successfully communicate my "Be Here Now" mindset to girls, they just get hooked into my persona and what I am trying to portray, and I appeal to their emotions in such a way that I don’t have to try hard and appeal to their logical brain. Thus, approaching and gaming in this manner, I get IOI's early on and am confident enough to deal with them in a constant high value state.
Anyways, I found the above philosophy to be absolutely killer for my inner game, and I have a ritual to put me in the Be Here Now mindset. I find a quiet place soon before the night begins, close my eyes, and repeat the following line until I really BELIEVE it. This way I'm not needy: "The opposite of craving is saying, baby, this is the way it is, yeah, OK, here and now, this is it. I ACCEPT THE HERE & NOW FULLY".

Peace, any feedback/ opinions would be appreciated

Well there is that but also if you spend any time with some of the better PUA's you will notice that they are pretty much in a constant state of frame, really do not want to label it as it varies a bit from person to person but it is like this high energy or vibe that they have. Guess you could call it charisma or confidence or liken it to a certain mood but it is its own thing really. Not sure how I would word it, but when you have seen it you will know what I mean by vibe that they consistently project in field.

Lizard king,
I have read that book and it is good. It is a little to much Hippy-dippy-peace-and pixie dust for my liking. I do believe that you are on to something with "be here Now"

In zen it is termed mindfullness. it is being fully attentive to the experience -or some might say it is being the experience Itself.

I believe the reason it is so powerfull and attractive is becasue most people are not used to having someone actually pay attention to what they are saying. Most people just wait for their turn to speak and are thinking about what they are going to say rather than listening.

Getting away from being outcome dependant is a marvellous thing. It is amazing to see how we as people create all of our suffering. all that happens is you succeed or don't. the suffering comes from ones reaction to the event....not the event itself. that is why disillusionment is the path to freedom.

If you want to read more about this I recommend :

and as a side note, you could add a few paragraphs to your posts....it makes them easier to read.
