A3 is when you're allowing her to qualify herself to you, and in turn you're rewarding her with IOIs. If you mean can you #close in A2, then yes of course. This game isn't as linear as some people believe! 'Look I have to run, but you're pretty cool. Write your number down for me and i'll let you know when i'm around next.' If she's giving you IOIs, then present this with a decent frame and she'll comply without question. If you get a shit-test for it, just plough through: 'You mean I should give my number to a stranger I just met?' - 'Of course, I have candy.'

You can # close whenever you want. My AFC friends close sometime in between A1 and A2. If you can even call it that. More like approach and shoot the shit and then ask for her #. But it works. The chances of seeing her again, I'm not so sure.
