View Full Version : Okay, what should I have done.
I was in my friends building, and getting on his elevator. This girl was on the elevator with a New York Mets hat.
His elevator, takes like 2 seconds to get to the lobby,so I didn't have a long period of time. But I was thinking about using sarcasm, and saying "So I'm assuming you're a Mets fan."
Then using a list of different conversation starters. But soon as I got on the elevator,I was thinking of an opener. I literally had my hand on like my chin, and my other arm crossed, like I was thinking.
Okay,I asked what I should have done.
If you don't have an answer,or any thing helpful to say, don't post.
I mean if I wanted to hear your attitude,I'd give a damn first, then maybe ask for it.
PS
This post was not to start some useless internet argument, but just to tell you that no one cares for an attitude. There was an actually point to this thread. I wouldn't post something for no reason.

Rewok does have a point. There are tons of things that you can read up on in bulletins, stock material, the search button function, etc. If you already knew what to say or wanted to say it...you should have just said it. ANYTHING can be an opener, so long as you have the game to back it up.

I know the approach is nerve-racking at first, but that opener would have worked perfectly man. The best advice I can give you on this is to just follow the three-second rule! Rewok might have sounded harsh, but he really does have a point. I can't tell you what you should have done past opening her, because I can't predict what she's going to say! So if you want advice on what you should have done - You should have opened her with that line that came to mind. From there, it can go well, with a good conversation and a friendly goodbye when you get off the elevator, putting you in a good mood when she smiles. It can go terribly when you misjudge your neg, insulting her mother and, god forbid, the mets, meaning you'll walk out of the elevator in silence, and it will take a good... ooo roughly... 20-30 seconds to shake off? Or, it will go amazingly! You'll DHV incredibly well, make her laugh, and she'll be happy about the idea of meeting up with you again, giving you her number when you get off the elevator. That feeling won't dissapear in 20-30 seconds, it'll last the whole day, maybe several! But I guarantee the worst feeling of all is when you walk off that elevator without opening her at all. Even on the very rare occasion that it does go terrible, at least you can take pride in knowing you braved the chance.

I'm telling you that these threads are things that start your path to sitting on the computer typing up PU theory instead of going out in sarging.
Get out of your head. There was an actually point to my post. I never post something for no reason

Thank for clearing that up. But I do agree that there's more info on this site, that I coud have read before posting. But I just wanted to hear it out of you guys mouths, like your opinion. But for future reference,I'll read the other threads.
Thanks guys
Edit: Thanks Silver, that was also a big help. For some dumb reason,I forget about the 3-second thing. Rather than acting on it,I just sat there thinking of the scenario. Rather than making one. Thanks again guys.
