Cut and pasted from the site in my sig...

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

-WHERE IS THIS TAKING PLACE?

* Orlando, Florida

-WHEN IS THIS TAKING PLACE?

* July 19-22 2007
* Fly in Thursday the 19th, Seminar on 20th and 21st, fly out the 22nd* Tentative Schedule.

-WHERE WILL I BE STAYING?

* Holiday Inn - 6515 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819
* Tel: 1-407-351-3500
* Site: http://www.hi-idrive.com/
* Pricing: $89 a night, double beds.

-WHAT IS THE CONFERENCE SCHEDULE?

* Wednesday, July 18th - Staff arrival, hotel check in, etc
* Thursday, July 19th - Attendee fly in, check into hotel, then separate total NEWBS into groups with one or two instructors and head to a local street venue to learn how to approach. More experienced people will have a brochure on more target rich venues to attend that night, etc
* Friday, July 20th - Convention room is reserved from 8-4,how long we will spend in there is still tentative, then Day Game, then Night Game, etc
* Saturday, July 21st - Convention room is reserved from 8-4, then Day Game, then Night Game (venues are limitless), etc
* Sunday, July 22nd - Recuperate, check out, maybe some day game, say our goodbyes, fly home. Note*-club paris holds a 17 and under teen night sunday, this will be discussed in a seperate post.
* Monday, July 23rd- Recuperate and fly home if you stayed for Club Paris Teen night (still tentative if they will host it again this summer, but it is a blast)

More details coming soon!!! We will keep you posted from this point on. These are the set dates. Hotel is allowing people to fly in up to 3 days early and leave 3 days late at the $89 dollar rate, so the reservation is actually from 16th-25th.

Within the next few days the sales rep will have a link to go to, then which you will enter a group code which will give you the $89 rate, then you pick how many days you would like to stay. Also you can pick king size bed or double bed (there is also a suite room available for an extra fee). At the moment anyone under 18 will need to find someone on this forum and then have that adult (18+) pay for the room then select double. I would recommend paying the tenant cash at the convention, also be very nice and appreciative towards that person.

Also as far as ticket price goes, at the moment its very cheap. BTW this is strictly non profit and I will post/show receipts for everything. Cash will be collected at the convention. At the moment...

$200 for theater style conference room, x2 for 2 days=400.
Audio visual is still in the works, i have 2 companies to pick from, one I know the owner personally and will likely go with him. He gave me a rough estimate of $300 total, maybe be cheaper depending on if he does video or not. Either way I'm going to overestimate audio/video at $400.

The audio/video (high def by the way) will be hosted to download for FREE on this forum shortly after the convention. I have 1 TB of band-with in case anyones wondering...=D

Totaling $800. This is considering ZERO sponsorship and no one having access to a high def HDD camcorder. So it may very well be cheaper, or even free if a big company (TMM, RSD, VA, CA, PU101, Lifestyle Imaging,...etc) decides to fit the bill.

We should have at LEAST 40 attendees making the cover price about $20.

Also, this is a very tentative list of who will be speaking. We are still working out the exact days and times.

-WHO WILL BE SPEAKING AND ON WHAT?

* Vincent Chase
* Dream
*Dynamic
*Mehow
*Certainty
* Devious
* Heartwork
* Mayhem
* Orleans and Maverick from Lifestyle Imaging
* Crono
* Xtreeme
* Zine
* + some un-named possible guest speakers ;D

If you have any questions, ask away!

Cya all this summer!!!

especially since the convention itself is stocked with topnotch PUAs for advice, Q+A, and field work.. yet the convention itself will cost you next to nothing

the only things you need to worry about are getting out there and getting a room. once thats taken care of, its practically a free bootcamp + workshop rolled into one. you dont get a better deal.

No excuses guys, it's just that not all of us come from wealthy families. Some of us hardly take a vacation 2 hours from their city.
And that is half of a problem, while the second one is great problem getting visa to USA. Sweden is in the Europian Union, while my shitty country isn't. Good for Sweden. If the convention would take place in Europe, I wouldn't have to worry about the visa shit cause Israelis don't need visa to visit Europe.

If logistics aren't right for you this year, there is nothing you can do about it. If money is the issue, get a job part-time, and you'll have the money by this summer for the hotel, food, ect.

Eventually we plan to put the Under 21 Convention on DVD, or availible through the internet, for those that couldn't make it out.

Love,

Not just DVD, but HD-DVD. This'll be recorded in High Definition.

Why? Because we can. ;)

Why not Blu-Ray?

something I know nothing about.

The convention will be filmed in high def. We would be able to put it on either HD-DVD or Blu-Ray, there are differences I don't care to go into (I'm not a nerd, I swear... I actually just use Wikipedia.)

VIA the internet the download will be pretty long even on a highspeed connection, so we MAY or MAY NOT release a DVD[s] for those who don't want to DL it. You would have to pay for shipping, labor and the cost of the DVD[s] and Casing. No idea what that would total to. PLUS, if you wanted the HD footage you'd need an HD TV and HD or Blu-Ray player, otherwise we could ship it in DVD quality, which is still pretty good.

Either way, you're going to get the best experience if you come out and enjoy "the S.H.I.T." hitting the fan (inside joke.)

Allright dude, later, i'm off to bed and a warm woman.

Im super excited about this - I know Orleans and I are going to cover some stuff that's barely been touched on! Should be an amazing show. I'm looking forward to heading out in the nights.

We're looking to host 2 workshops - one before and one after the event. Take a look at www.lifestyleimaging.net for more info.

Cheers.

The website for Under21convention.com is in the finalizing stages, we're just deciding on a specific design and after that it's fill out the content and get it online. In the mean time the forum is starting to bubble with activity, head on over and check it out:

Me and Sheek are sort-of in the middle of a pissing contest trying to out design each other, he's going for wicked streamlined, fast loading gorgocity. and me, in typical VC style, am making a brilliantly colored, image laden BEAST!

lol

Honestly though, which ever direction we go, the website is going to be killer!

My job actually revolves around this shit, and I am a tv nerd :D .

We will be filming the event in either 720p or 1080i depending on the camera we rent from Circuit City or Best Buy (whichever has the lower restocking fee :) ). This will be available to download for FREE on under21convention.com/forum. Youll be able to veiw it at that resolution on your computer (assuming your monitor supports that resoltion). Point is itll look really sharp. Its doubtful well release any dvds, releasing HD dvds is not even an option for us lol. However well be sure to downscale them to a standard resoltion thats a much smaller file on a seperate link.

Hope that clears up any confusion.

This sounds great guys, and I'd love to come (maybe with a friend or more).

As someone who will be going into the professional entertainment (film/TV) industry soon as a career, I'd like to offer some help.

I've filmed and edited multiple stage performances, shows, short films, music videos, and other projects. I own a personal prosumer hi-defintion camera, so this isn't the consumer crap you'll find at Circuit City/Best Buy or even Sony Style. This is the equipment they actually use on set during the production of indie films, the Discovery Channel programs, and the like sometimes. I would be willing to film this event for everyone for FREE (so you don't have to waste money getting more equipment than needed). I also own personal professional microphones (XLR) and various other accessories that we can use.

Here's my question though. Why do you want to record to hard drive? Tape is much more robust and secure. It is much more dependable than a hard drive spinning at several thousand rounds per minute. I think it might even be possible to hook-up my camera to a laptop and record onto it while also recording onto tape (but I'll have to check).

It's very easy to transfer tape to hard drive by the way. But tape is not only a better recording medium, but a far superior archiving medium (as opposed to hard drive). In my opinion as well as many professional's opinions, tape recording is much better than direct HDD recording.

Also, how many cameras are you thinking of? One camera, while enough to cover the seminar itself, will be boring in terms of camera angles and so on. One camera will definitely not create something as viewable as say, Style's video recording of his Annihilation Method seminar (if you've seen that). For sure, Style hired several cameramen. Even Mystery's DVD set probably used more than one camera.

It would also be smart to have a dedicated sound recording device, rather than recording the primary audio through the camera itself, even if you are using professional mics.

And some questions about the actual convention itself. Who are the instructors, what are their credentials, how old is the average age of the instructors? I've heard some of those guys and seen their posts on forums before, but I don't know if that qualifies them. What kind of experience and public speaking skills do they have? This isn't to cut down any of the instructors or offend anyone, but these are legitimate concerns about the quality of this convention.

Mehow is really the only one I know on that list who is offering true professional bootcamps and has worked with Mystery and other top PUAs. But he's around 30 years old, isn't he?

If it helps I too have done countless sets, re-running the newbie mission along side with all my friends I show the game to so they dont feel as alone in the process. I have dated a celebrity, spoken at meetings for a local lair, and contributed to a dvd set on pick-up currently in the works in london. I feel everyone we have chosen are valid speakers and will have somthing good to share.

thats so awesome, if possible im so going to go there, i think this will be best summer ever i might visit vancouver b.c., california and even Florida that would be the bomb! So is this an unofficial seminar/bootcamp pretty much for under 21 people? Also besides the price for hotel, what other costs will there be besides possible cash you bring along, what would be rough total cost not taking into account airfare and extra cash?

DarkPrince
02-17-2007, 06:46 PM
okay these are the things i estimated for when I calculated mine, (which came to about 700 bucks)

1)airfare
2)cab
3)Hotel
4)food
5)Cover cost.(20$ As of now, but thats estimated of a 40 people show up!) with 8 instructors, thats 5 person a instructor, which is very good.
6)Misc.(condoms, cigs(i dont smoke), silvinears and things of this sort.
7) Emergency(extra hundred or so bucks for any uneventfull events)

thats it, If anythign i forgot please feel free to tell me to add it to this list. Thank you!

good luck

Dream

1)airfare-$$ varies person to person depending on your location, the sooner you buy the cheaper though.
2)room-45 per person over x nights. If you stay 3 nights, the full sha bang thats like 135 bucks.
3) Cab is going to be cheapo, everything is close by to this hotel. Downtown is the farthest away at like 15 mins.
4)food is up to you, im going to try to snag us a couple boxes of doughnuts though =).
5)just expect 20-30 bucks for a cover fee.
6)mad money and emergency money- this is a no brainer when you travel. citywalk and downtown are free venues, clubs range from 5-10 bucks for cover sometimes.

The real variable is your airfare. Everything else totals like 250-300.

Hey,

I'm new to the community, and right now I'm tryin to learn everything I can. I am 20 years old so I thought this would be a good base to start, before I hit the bars.

how do i go about reserving a spot in the conference. I've been trying to reach people throught the website, but the shit ain't workin. I can reserve the room on my own, but I want to be sure there is room at the seminar. I am currently in Jacksonville, so plane fair is not a problem.

The other question is who does the movie go to?

Thanks guys,

Dream

I only check the under21 forum consistently, other threads and pms/messages are hit and miss (although at least once a week). Your best bet will always be the forum for future questions and answers.

Anyways answered your question in another response.

Ok, I was on the fence, but if we've got PUAs coming in from goddamn Sweden, I can't in good conscience pass this up. Count me in.

That being said, I'm forgetful as hell. If you guys haven't done so yet, a newsletter or something would be fucking GOLD.

Perfect timing too, I hit 21 in September.

To the under 21 PUA,

I realized I have never posted on this forum, and not a single person in the community knows who I am. But I think I can help all of you.

Not with advice, I have none of that. In fact, I can't even open a set correctly. You see, I just now got into the game. I am fascinated by the community and want to learn myself. For a number of years I have devoted all my time and effort into something else. I never thought my hobby would be of use to people, although in the day I made quite a bit of money with it.

At my young age, I understand what its like when you can't get to the target-rich environments you want. Why? Because they require you to be 21.

I realize this will probably be interpreted as spam, but here goes: I make IDs. Rephrase that: you can't tell the difference between mine and the real thing. Proper UV (blacklight) inks, exact holograms, and proper barcoding. Yes, you absolutely can scan them anywhere. Ever walk into a bar and they shine it under a blacklight or scan it across a machine? You will have ZERO problems. For years this business was my passion, my calling. I used to charge between $200 - $300 when I lived in Chicago and had people calling my phone off the hook. But to my PUA brothers it will be much, much, less. Hopefully just enough to cover my $500 trip. It will be limited to the first 10 people for $50. The only reason I limit it to 10 is I dont want to spend the entire weekend on photoshop. I want to learn too.

All I want to know is if you guys think people will be interested in these. If there seems to be enough interest I will take the trip to Florida with my equipment. Then us newly appointed 21 year olds can hit up the bars like never before.

And oh yeah, if you live in the indianapolis area we can obviously trade one for a few lessons in the field.
