Working on this opening...opinions

Alright apparently my friends think it's wierd that ill only date girls that are shorter than me, so I decided to ask these 2 hb's at the mall, didn't know them fresh set, sitting on a display bed in sears.

Me: Hey let me ask you two a question, is it a big deal if you date a guy shorter than you?
HB's: Well it depends how short blah blah yes, no whatever they say
Me: well my bro thinks it's wierd and I don't so I was just wondering if I should be concerned with this quality of mine and if I should change it.

Now here is the wildcard, no idea what they will say besides yeah it's wierd blahblah, and no matter what I usually say:

Me: what if the guy is really cut like me (bb'ing for 2+years) but shorter than you. Would it be a big deal then?

So that's where i'm stuck, I try to get them to ask some questions but it never seems to work so i'm looking for a pass into forcing them to ask a question pretty much.

Any ideas?

The question portrays/telegraphs to much interest off the bat. Avoid this. Work on a different opener. Maybe blend it as a different conversation thread after you have DHV a few times and you've hooked the set.

I agree. It's almost structured that your 'opener' is qualifying you below them, or even DLV.

Yea i understand you guys are saying he started talking about , interest/attraction, things of that nature are saved for later while now we gotta build DHV, i understand that part yet i needa get a girl to qualify herself/ IOI , or just be able to lead a girl with my alluding which i have low experience in alluding, i been used to being so honest, and unlearning is real hard.
