Interesting problem from a girl I knew in Middle School

Well I'm starting college in a few days, and at my college orientation I met back up with a girl I knew in middle school. She is extremely hot (10) and I didn't really notice her until the 2nd day of orientation where her and I awkwardly said hi to each other, surprised that we hadn't said anything earlier. I negged her a little bit and we went our separate ways then later on after dinner we met back up in a group and went to a frat party (ew, but only a few frat boys luckily). Now, I'm new to this but I have my own "peacocking" bandannas that I wear a lot of the time (I don't know if this is actually peacocking but seeing as few people wear them out casually around here I guess it can be considered). As I walked up to the group, she says "Wait John, haha look!" and out of her purse pulls out a bandanna of the exact same color and puts it on. I was shocked and bragged about how mine was better than hers. Now as the night went on I didn't hit on her, but on some of her friends in the group. I ended up getting girl in question's number by the end of the night by just casually asking for it-- but it was in a friendly way since we used to be middle school friends. Not until later did I realize how big of a blunder I made by not hitting on her. We chatted over facebook and she made a comment about how we both listen to almost the exact same independent music. Then I said something about how we both are HUGE snowboarders. She says we are going to go snowboarding everyday. She also said when college starts we are going to be so "tight" but I can't tell what exactly she's saying. I plan to call her the day she moves in to go to a party. I'm new to the mystery method, but I think I have a good grasp of it. Any ideas?

Attacking from the flanks works like a charm. Girls talk about this stuff, and i think social proofing is exactly what you need here.
Maybe she does'nt see you in a sexual way, and then getting it on with some of her friends may change that view.

You still have a chance but you're riding the thin line. She might have already put you in the friend zone or she might be still open to you hitting on her. I don't know cause I wasn't there but you better take charge and calibrate. Good luck to you and don't mess it up. Make sure you create ATTRACTION and take it physical. I was in the same place as you many times and the main reason I failed was because I was not ready to lose it. Style says in order to progress you need to be willing to lose it. Personally, I definately would not call her the first day. Let her call you. You don't want to seem desperate. Especially since there are probably hundreds of new girls on your campus looking for a piece of ass. Get your game tight and then make your move...the one.

yeah I guess I can wait a bit to call her. good chance she'll call me though. I guess I have a lot of time to do this, but my fear is going backwards instead of forwards since I've never really been in a situation like this. Once I get past that I'm golden though =P
