at first i had black ones but then i decided to go with the universal green color because it stands out more. anyway ive been wearing these all day, and i hafta say they are the most comfortable clothes ive ever worn! i also got a stethoscope for the hell of it. what would you say if somebody asks "what the hell are you wearing!?!?", i plan to wear this the first day back to school. :D

Not to be crude but my mom wears scrubs all the time cause they are comfortable. I dunno where you live but I see people wearing them allot. They became a popular casual wear for awhile even sold at walmart in snappy prints.

on the rare occasion i will see a doctor or nurse buying them at the scrubs store in the mall. but it is a rare thing to see somebody wearing this (Especially at school).

I'm just a girl and I realize you are looking for a guy's opinion but from what I can see of your face, this look does not make you stand out. And that's the point of "peacocking." At least that's what I gather from what I've read. When I was in sixth grade, there was a guy who wore a scrub shirt with jeans or scrub pants with a plain white t-shirt that everybody thought was HOT! But...he was over six feet already and we lived in a conservative community where most kids wore Ralph Lauren back when blue collar workers were far from being cool.
Maybe you should try watching "Dexter" on Showtime. I think his look would be more of "peacocking" for you. But this is just a guess from what I see in your picture. I don't know your personality type. For all I know your personality would be better suited in vintage bowling suite or mechanic jumpsuits.
I used to wear unzipped mechanic jumpsuits with a sports bar and boxer shorts underneath. I can't tell you how many guys tried to jump into my suit. When to be honest I was wearing the jumpsuit because it was comfortable and a cool way to have a cover up for the little outfit I really wanted to wear but was too self-conscious to outside of the dorm room.

"What the hell are you wearing!?!?"
'It's okay,' cue the over-acted, cool-guy, eyebrow-raise look 'I'm a doctor.' And point to that stethoscope you have around your neck.
I get the feeling that outfit would go down pretty well at a club! Keep the frame and you're guanranteed to stand out from everyone else. The only trouble you'll encounter will be getting into the club! Kudos on a refreshing idea, most people seem to think peacocking means wearing a cowboy hat and goggles.

thanks for the replys and opinions. i know im not smiling in the picture and i dont look happy but i have a really goofy personality and im usually smiling. i dont like old stuff. 6 foot in sixth grade? damn, well im 6' 3", but not in when i was that young.
GOOD shit Silver!
What school are you going too? I think in an environment like School, you should stick to one interesting/peacocked item instead of such a *Bam* look at me type image. In school you will stand out easily by being wiling to approach, your unique personality, etc. Half of the guys in school are still in major chode stage, and with a little tweaking of your personality you already stand out.
Are you in college? High School?
First day in classes is the most important day of school. Here's a tip, wait outside the door of your class for a bit, till its about 3/4 full. Then walk in and find that massive cluster of girls, and start talking immediately when you walk over. (I always just look for the most blondes in one area) It should look like you're already friends with the girls when you walk up, it will quickly let everyone in the class know that your one of the guys "to know" in class.
I was always constantly asked after class by random guys "who are your friends" etc. Everyone assumed I knew all of those hot girls I was talking too, your choice whether you want to let them believe that or not.
Btw another tip, is you should grab as many of those numbers as you can, citing some value source. I typically threw a party about a week or two into the semester, and invited every girl from all of my classes to it. Make sure the party is badass though, because theyre going to build your reputation with this party.
Otherwise, personally I don't like the scrubs idea. It would be an interesting social experiment, but I would usually leave the social experiments for bar/club situation where the girls constantly change. Your school is an awesome opportunity to build a huge social circle that will get you laid for years to come.

i go to a white collar, middle class school in a fairly large city, high school that is. i like your idea about chattin up groups of hot girls on the first day and may have to give it a try. the way i feel is that if i wear something that is a bit outrageous but not so much "what a fucking looser" people will talk to me and then i will feel more comfortable, and have greater success. and the people that know me will not be so surprised by my choice in clothing.

I always thought peacocking was to look excentric and wild. Visualy strikeing. But hospital scubs seem just out of place in a bad way. But that's just me.

I'm more of a fan of subtle peacocking... I will say though, Ive seen scrubs everyday back when I was going to college -- and in highschool I don't know how weird you'd come off, it would base a lot on your frame...
Not my cup of tea, but let us know how it turns out.

From what I have observed most PUA use a subtle method they have a interesting item that can draw attention to them and also serve as a converstation starter if the converstation dies out. But having something radical is only used by those who are highly skilled and can pull it off. The more you peacock the most you have to be confident and on your game to come back to the snide remarks you are going to get.
If you wear those scrubs to a high school your gonna get the doogie howser rub on you eventually so have a good comeback or two lined up and it might work to your advantage.

so then its better to have an interesting accessory, than to have an interesting total appearance? and..."doogie howser"??? cant say ive ever heard that in my life before. hah

wearing scrubs subcommunicates that you dont understand what it means to be cool and what fashion is. nobody wears scrubs, there is no way they can get you laid. they're ugly. wearing them thinking they will help your game is delusional.
watch the pickup artist. see how jdog and matadore dress? they dress cool. just rip them off completely if you're clueless. dont dress like mystery he looks like a clown but i guess it works because h does magic and that's his identity.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned one of the most powerful of all peacocks-
The Tuxedo.
Aside from looking good and attracting attention- girls will be coming up to you left and right to ask if you just come from a wedding, or a fancy party or whatever. And they will be dying to hear your stories.

HAAAHA! My scrubs are lame. i actually wanted to get an all white tux and a top hat, but its too much cash. im keepin the scrubs tho i like them anyway. maybe not a good idea for school, but i guess a fun social experiment for another place. i was reading a thread on here and somebody said they wore some crazy costume to walmart- just for the hell of it. but whats really the worst that could happen if you wear scrubs to a mall, somebody asks why im wearing that shit and starts a conversation with me?
The point of peacocking is to stand out. If you stand out and your able to successfully withstand the barrage of jokes then its successful.

^i cant agree with that. if you look like a retard with your top hat, scrubs, LED belt, and leather chaps over your pants then you are standing out in a BAD way.
people will fuck with you and girls will think you're retarded. you proly wont have the social skills, social proof, and overall presence to deflect that many bad preconceived notions.
you want to roll into a club looking like a rockstar. or somebody important. the fat kid from the pickup artist had it right with the strip club owner look. jdog looks tight with that rocker look. he looks like he's a straight up awesome dude.
matador dresses super sexy.
mystery dresses bad but he's mystery plus he does magic so whatever.
open a rock magazine, look at guys like slash and robert plant. they know how to dress. look through GQ for that tight model look. browse the indie music scene and get some cool vintage clothes that make you look trashy and stylish (what i do).
stop thinking that the more crazy shit you think of the better you will be. wearing dumb shit like scrubs and top hats tells everybody that you just "dont get it". you're weird and a loser.
also make sure everything fits you and flatters you. matador is in GREAT shape, clothes looks awesome on him. the fat kid from the pickup artists is fat. but the black suite and cool hair make it all work because it fits him well.
wana peacock? start wearing TIGHT clothes. i wear tight women's jeans almost exclusively now. along with vintage shirts, black snakeskin cowboy boots and the coolest leather jacket ever. and everything fits me perfectly. guys who "get" fashion compliment me. girls try not to say anything because they know i get compliments all the time and they dont want to let it go to my head because they already think i'm a huge player. when decked out in my best my game shifts into direct and i IOI early. the way i dress creates a massive amount of value. I dress better then most of the women i approach. when i open after a sweaty ass yoga seminar and i'm in my track pants and white t shirt i do indirect shit that is more about transitioning. this is how important fashion and dressing well is.

Gotta agree with mike. People often use peacocking in a way to make up for their lack of self confidence. Mystery is really the exception to the rule for peacocking. He's a extreme guy so he can dress extreme and pull it off although to be honest he overdoes it from tiem to time.
Matador is a master at his look and as far as most of us he should definately be the one you look at twoards style wise. He has it down pat. Jdog is also flashy but in a very stylish way not in a look at the freak way.
As I said before you can easily take peacocking way too far, start off with 1 interesting piece and every so often add something else. Best thing to do is find a good style for you and add one maybe two interesting items interesting not just flashy. You dont wanna look like boy george. Very few can pull it off and you will just look desperate.
I use several items but you wont see me across the room because of them. However it never fails to become involved in the conversation when I am in a set. I think some are thinking if you look like bozo the clown it'll make everyone think you are super confident. It wont.

Hey people,
I've had this conversation a while back and I think it was Silver who pointed me in the right direction, but what I've found is that because I went through my "Mystery" stage of wearing anything and everything that's rediculous, while it opened sets, it didn't get me laid. However, in the process, i was ending up in twice as many sets, handling loads more attention, mainly from guys being noobs.
You guys are absolutely right in the sense that mystery does it absolutely insanely and it works for him. I have used the mystery style peacocking to get my confidence of dealing with people up. Now i don't do it as much now. I'll occasionally throw the lights on, or the hat for a bit of fun. But it's not to sarge with.
So in short, I peacocked madly and got attention and now i can handle it. Now I just dress cool.
Don't suppose that helps, but MikeIsSweet, Go out and try it man. Like you said, the absolute worst thing to happen is someone talk to you and ask why you're wearing scrubs in [insert location here]. Which is what you want anyway - so go for it!

I was thinking. If you are going to do the scrubs thing, why did you get the scrubs everybody has? Why not black scrubs or ones like Dr. McDreamy wears on Grey's Anatomy [http://www.mybarcouniforms.com/med/catalog.asp?br=GR&cat=532&orig=532]?
Then there's these: http://www.allheart.com/ckteamset.html
That's why when Moose, the guy I was telling you about in six grade, got SO much attention. Back then, you couldn't just go out and get scrubs so they were interesting. If you were to get scrubs that don't look so ordinary that might start up a great set.
Just a thought...

When i see a guy in scrubs, I think it's a poor, tired resident who's stuck in the hospital working 100 hours a week or if he's on the street, he just finished his 48 hour shift and is on his way home to sleeeeep.

When I think of wearing scrubs, I think of Halloween. A lot of people pick the doctor costume and in the end the costume just isn't interesting.
I would think that since you are in high school, that you would get your ass beat down for wearing those scrubs. I can imagine some bully stealing them from your gym locker, pissing on them and tying up the president of the glee club with them.
Also, the scrubs aren't really peacocking as was previously discussed. If you want to stand out in high school, don't wear Abercrombie and Fitch or Aeropostale.
my opinion,
I would not do the scrubs thing. looks to much like your weird. I am a lot older than you though, so I have no clue what would work in your area, all I picture is girls looking at you and laughing behind your back. of course that could give you a open...
A lot of good advice put up here for you.
I think I would try them out one night and see if I got a positive responce before wearing them to school.

I'm not trying to be rude, but it's a disaster. I wouldn't try to wear that as a form of trying to peacock. The girls probably wouldn't go for this because it dosn't look very exciting, it's all one color, and they probably wouldn't start a conversation with you about it. If you want to peacock, probably the best thing to go with is like an unusual hat, necklace, or some sort of wrist accessory. A sort of ''out there'' shirt or jacket works as well. You want to wear something that looks like you wore it just for that occasion. Although it might work somewhere, because doctors are rich! Girls like that sort of stability. I'd personally go with an out of the ordinary hat or necklace, something along those lines. The whole point of peacocking is to have something that draws attention to you in a positive way. But don't wear something that dosn't fit your personality as an individual because you will look and feel awkward wearing it. You see the hats and necklaces and accessories Mystery wears, he sports them well because he's wearing something that draws attention to his personality and charm in a very unique way, and that is what attracts women.

she's absolutely right single bland coloring, sheesh the exact opposite of peacocking. Maybe the shirt with a jacket or something over just to make the juxtapoz stand out. unless your going for the doctor look
