Attended the LA seminar/bootcamp March 26th-27th.
After having Mystery and Matador be guest speakers at the Stylelife conferences (and of course kicking ass) I was finally able to attend one of their seminars.
Loved hearing the M3 model broken down by Mystery in person finally, Matador teaching and sharing some of his crazy stories with shit he pulls off in the club (sex, bjs, etc) and also GREATLY enjoyed meeting Discovery, great energy, very solid instructor and expect to here much more from him in the future.
Great group of guys attending who were serious about getting this area of their lives under control. Awesome time all around!
So thank you for the great time and pages of notes!

If you want to see the actual factual review, it will be at the end. I think understanding the actual experience itself and my interpretation of the individual instructors will do the boot camp justice (especially for anyone still on the fence about doing it).
I actually did not start my pickup journey with Mystery Method. I began with David Deangelo. I got some success, got cocky, stopped for about 8 months, and couldn't get the same results when I started up again. I knew that I needed a change. I had previously read the Game and Mystery Method, so I had some knowledge about Mystery's style of pickup. This was my first boot camp. My setup was two days of instruction, two nights with the instructors infield, and a specialty class on the last day. On my first day, Discovery had the floor most of the time teaching us the model itself. After a few hours of discussion, Mystery entered and presented an in-depth view of the model and how he created it. Since it was the 1st day, the discussion was centered around getting to know the basic structure of the system as opposed to jumping straight into routines (or else people wouldn't understand the reason for using canned material). We did a small amount of practical exercises with the routines (telling them to each other), but not much more beyond that.
At lunch, I met Bravo, a Stylelife couch who another boot camp student was raving about earlier who I had never heard of. I came to the boot camp with the intention of getting a objective view of who I was portraying to the world from a third party. Bravo was extremely helpful in this regard. He told me that his assessment of me was that of a soft-spoken shy guy who needed to do an activity like Yoga or martial arts in order to take care of stiff body language and a bouncy walk. To his surprise, I told him that I was an actor who sings and is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. It's more about how we present ourselves to the world and not just our accomplishments (especially on a subconscious level). We couldn't decide where to eat with a short amount of time. Bravo went up to a really cute blonde hostess at a restaurant called Saddles Ranch in front of Universal Studios (I’ll leave out names for this review). I knew the game was on the second he looked in that direction. He starts talking with her and within thirty seconds, I can notice her showing distinct IOIs that were talked about in class (funny how things work out like that). I did not want to get interfere. I was getting a free demonstration of the principles of pickup. We were seated and met our waitress. She was a cute brunette with a blue bandana who had the most gorgeous eyes. He started gaming her too resulting in the same IOIs as before as well as a cool conversation. I could tell he wasn't even trying and was getting amazing results. He even randomly threw in some well known canned lines that were just discussed in the seminar essentially for shits and giggles for me that worked great. Long story short, he ended up with both girls' phone numbers and me with a lot of firsthand experience in day game/hired guns pickup.
After the seminar had ended, we were matched up with our instructors for the night. I got Brendan. We didn't have much time, so I went up to my room to change. When I got back, he was talking to a waitress. Even though it had been less than 2 minutes, she kept following us around for the next hour. That is some solid game if you ask me. And even we didn't have much time to get ready for going out to the clubs; he spent more than an hour helping me with my body language/walk. At one point, a cute Philipino girl came walking through the hall way and he approached her with an opinion opener. I was going to do the same thing as I did with Bravo and simply observe, but he wanted me to be in control of the conversation. As it progressed, I thought that I had already been blown out by the girl and was just shooting the shit with her (later he told me that she clearly liked me and that I was in comfort, go figure, eh). Then out of nowhere, he says something to the extent of, "I get a feeling that you haven't had really good sex in a while". I thought it was all over. She responded, "I guess I'm just waiting for the right person" with "that" look in her eye. WHAT!? He then asked her what her favorite sexual position was. She was in the middle of telling us when two other students came in and broke the tension. He took her a few feet away and continued after that. Here is my point, within ten minutes of meeting this girl, Brendan went to a completely sexual place and she loved it.
We went to a club called Crest which is a very high end club in Hollywood and booked a VIP table on the 3rd floor. I started using what I had learned from the day. I did approach after approach was holding my own overall. During the entire night (say 11-2:30 in the morning) I was only blown out twice out of the seventeen approaches (I later found out the average is 6-12so I felt pretty good). Mystery was working the room and had women all around him (he went home with a short really sexy blonde that he met at the beginning). Discovery had his gf there and was having a good time working the room. We had a camera man taking pictures of us with women (which I also used as an effective opener). I SO wish I could get copies of those pictures!
The 1st night is to get desensitized to the night club scene. The next day we went back to class and refined what we had learned the previous day. Brendan did not show up (and I never saw him again). The instruction went into greater detail (kino, transitioning, etc). Matador taught us some of his kino tricks (which I'll go into more detail later) with Mystery dissecting the comfort stage and transitioning into the sexual stage. This seminar was like the last; lots of note taking and no personal practical application.
That night I was matched up with Rizan as my instructor. We went to Vanguard which is located in a section of Hollywood in which every other car is a low rider and is bouncing. Mystery never understood that craze and neither do I. A series of odd events followed (the women outside were not very attractive, specific instructors not answering their phones, etc). Mystery said something to the extent of "something isn't right in the universe" (which was very true for me later on). We eventually figured out that it was all a misunderstanding and went into the real club behind the place we were standing (and all of homely looking women). The "real" club had a ton of hot women. It had an outside terrace where people could mingle and inside was a dance floor that had the loudest bass I had ever heard. Fortunately, we were working outside where we could actually hear each other. I was feeling good at the hotel for the night ahead when suddenly, I was terrified to approach. I to this day don't know what happened, but let me just say that I was completely unable to approach. I tried to talk with the instructors for their advice, but despite their best efforts, I was lost. Each time I would go into set, I would be blown out within seconds. Rizan tried his best to encourage me to continue, but things were just not working out for me (no one's fault but my own). It's kind of funny, a drunk woman who appeared to be in her mid-late thirties saw me and Mystery talking and asked if I was on the show. I essentially said, "sure why not." She wouldn't leave me alone after that. She was literally dragging me around the club by the hand looking for her friends in the middle of my self-induced panic attack. I eventually brought her back to our VIP table with her "boyfriend". After that, she went to have a smoke and I needed to get back to cold approaching. The problem was that I was still having the terrible anxiety so Rizan and Matador actually created sets to put me in. Everyone else was having great success with the entire room and I was the only one out. Even in these sets, I was still getting blown out cause my energy was really scattered and they could sense my discomfort. The positive side, Matador showed me one on one the kino techniques that were discussed during the day and see the reaction from a girls in real time.
The next day I felt awful about my performance. The highlight of the night was the fact that I madeout with that drunk girl with her "boyfriend" sitting next to me, but could not shake how poorly I fared especially compared to my other group members who had multiple numbers/makeouts with really cute women. Next was daygame training with Discovery as part of the breakout program. I did not know much about Discovery other than the fact that he was one of the seminar's main instructors and that he has a really hot/smart gf. I was always in a different area than him during the night trainings so I never got to see him in action, though I could tell that he was having a great time with a bottle of Jack Daniel's in his hands. He likes to test boundaries wherever he goes. I wasn't sure what to expect at the time, but I am so glad that I chose this class. He broke down daygame vs. nightgame, what tools one would need in order to be successful, and fashion. He individually analysed our fashion tastes and gave us critiques. Unfortunately for me, I was wearing the same outfit that I had worn on the first day and Bravo already told me his opinion about what my clothes communicate to the world, but it was good to not only get a second opinion, but also some additional aspects to work on for the future.
It was my last day, so I needed to make up for my poor performance the previous night. I went out with Matador, Mystery, Derby, and Cosmo on their one on ones. I can't remember the name of the club we went to, but it was by far my favorite night (so anyone who was there respond with the name cause it was an amazing place). In the elevator to the club, it was me Mystery and two girls. He went into his "Google Earth" opener (which Discovery doesn't like because he has heard it over a hundred times). The girls giggled and gave him a great response. The club itself was on the rooftop with two levels (one of which had a pool) so I could experience all that is Los Angeles. Mystery and I met Derby on the second level who informed us of a six set of girls sitting by themselves. No one had approached them. After my trials of the previous night, I decided that I had no excuse. Our group started moving towards the 1st level, I took a breath, approached the group, and my night began...
Flash forward to about 2:30 in the morning with me and Mystery in the parking lot. He asked, "How many approaches did you do tonight"? I responded, "I stopped counting at seven". I'm guessing I did twelve, but that's neither here nor there. Since my fingers are staring to bleed from all of the typing, I think I'll cut it short for now. I'm happy to talk about that night another time since it was truly one of my favorite in this life, but right now I couldn't do it justice.
So here is my fast assessment of the bootcamp experience itself. It is a lot of note taking, but they are great and above all effective references. If you are going to go through the trouble of doing the seminar; do the night trainings as well. It is the best place to learn from people who know what they are talking about. My only problem was that the seminars didn't have much practical application of material as say a warmup to the night outtings that would be happening in a few hours. Learning the material is one thing, but saying it to someone skilled in pickup may reveal other problems that one would have to work on (body language, intonation, etc). It is pricey, but it is an AMAZING experience if you go into set and listen to the instructors. It works. It truly works. I can personally guarantee that if you come in with a good attitude and 100% commitment, you will be shocked at how affective Mystery Method is.

I was at the seminar as well. I only signed up for the 2 days of seminar without in-field.
First day was bare basics which I've seen in the videos (almost verbatim) but considering that there were some people who had no idea of the M3 model, this was the commonsensical thing to do.
Day two is the day where I felt I got my money's worth due to the fact that Mystery, Matador, and Discovery gave the bits and pieces, applications and personal twists on how they all make it their own. These guys are VERY different in their approaches, but they still have the M3 model checklist in their minds and seem to abide by it. The best part of hearing all 3 of them, you get to separate the foundation from the frame.
Mystery gave a field report on his F-close the night before and showed how every thing he did was tied to the M3 model to show how the model works every time. Granted the HB knew of his celebrity status which may have helped him with the seduction, it was still really cool to have him break down the sarge and show how whatever he does is done strategically with the M3 model in mind. Great stuff!
Bravo attended the seminar and gave some BOMB tips and tricks in some parts of the seminar, which had the light flicker on in my head (especially, the reasoning and application on how to kiss close at the meeting of the date and setting a frame to make it more likely to F-close by the end of the night... fucking genius!)
What mattered most to me is that I got enough contact for people in L.A. to wing each other throughout the week.
I am currently uncertain if I will go to any of the VA seminars in the future simply due to cost issues. I would rather go in-field since the seminar information is abundant in the DVD sets released throughout the years. If you're a total noob, then show up so you may have a good jump-start. Check out other gurus and see what they can offer you as well and most importantly HAVE FUN!!!

thanks for the kind words guys, was great meeting everyone as well
I can remember when I first started out, trying to view every Mystery clip I could find online (there were only a few back then) and WISHING I could go to a bootcamp.
I can only imagine how fast I would have learned if I had just jumped right in like that.
and again, it was awesome to finally be able to attend one and learn from such solid guys!

So rather than posting a review right after the bootcamp in LA, I decided to wait a while to post a review of how it has changed my life.
First off, I have to thank Derby for all of the encouragement before, during and after the seminar. Derby, if you're reading this, you're a great friend to me!
Mystery, Discovery, Matador, and Lovedrop....I also need to thank all of you for taking the time to answer many of my personalized questions. The advice each one of you have provided are priceless!
Now...The bootcamp was a great experience overall. The only way you WILL notice a difference is if YOU put it all into play on a DAILY basis! My main sticking points to working on were tonality, speech patterns, facial expressions, posture, and SMILING!
One thing Derby, Discovery, and Matador noticed while I was in sets was that I appeared nervous. Once I got back I talked to my doctor about this, and he had diagnosed me with having General Anxiety Disorder. Rather than going on medications I decided to take some advice from Derby, which was to take yoga.
What I have learned is helping me battle the issue head on. Now....for the REALLY good stuff!
First off, now I have four girl that I am seeing, using one as a pivot to help build jealousy plot lines when I go out, and the other is an unsatisfied married gal who is seeking this experience.
My personal life is more fulfilled now with meeting more people, making new friends, and having more fun.
My bosses, and co workers noticed a drastic change in attitude during this period, and have decided to promote me, grant me better pay, better hours, and bigger bonuses!
Again, thank you to all the people who helped me!
K-Dash
