New to this

Alright, ive never tried just talking to girls in a public setting, I do fine at parties and whatever, with friends but I want to go at this alone at say the mall or a clothing store.

I'm just stuck on what to say after an opener, if read some good ones but after the initial story or question, I can't figure out how to turn that into asking the girl for her number or if she or they want to get together sometime.

It would be awesome if anyone could help me out with this.

An opener needs to get their attention. Once you have that you need to demonstrate why you're a guy worthy of that attention. You do that through the use of Demonstartions of Higher Value (DHVs). It'll teach you all the underlying formulae for the art of pickup, and make you aware of how social dynamics work. Once you have an understanding of how it all works, the posts on these forums will start to make sense :P
