I've been kicking around the forum for a month and a bit, and I feel I have enough knowledge about PU to do some damage, but I haven't gone out on field. I'm not old enough for clubs etc. (I'm 18) so my only options are day game and parties. I'm normally too busy for parties with school (I'm at university first year) so day game is my only consistent option.
The problem is the thought of day game approaching has always bugged me. I guess it is approach anxiety, although I wouldn't say I get anxiety. When I'm near a possible set or whatever, it just feels like it would be weird to open. Either way, nows the time to start opening.
I am committing myself to open five sets this coming week, and seeing how I do from there.
This may not seem like much, but I'm not rushing into things too much and it feels like a big step to me. I need to post this here so I can actually commit myself to it. If I just tell myself to do it, I will be less likely to follow through.
I just need to get over this part, as I feel it's my biggest obstacle right now. I made many goals for the year in a different thread, and I feel I have already made strides thus far, now it is time for PU.
I will be making more goals throughout the year for myself, and I will keep you guys posted!
