I ordered the book and got it two days ago....
I haven't finished reading it though. I cant say I'm disappointed , from what I've read. Because in my heart I knew it would be nothing new; nothing original.
More like buying magic beans that does nothing. $$ in the toilet
I give it to him that he explained some stuff in details...But still: This is Mystery method plainly.
What he seems to do though is to change names. An example would be that instead of calling it "3 second rule" he calls it "5 second rule" and so on. And he doesn't give credit to Mystery anywhere...
Well those where my thoughts. I haven't finished reading the book yet.. Anyone that has read it all or part of it and feel different abou this?

I agree with you. I've also just started reading the book and as well as you I didn't expect anything new and well, it isn't just like you said.
On the other side I like explanations, they are more detailed but I feel like it is all that the book can offer.

haha Alright. Its nice to see different opinions actually. The details are good most certainly. And I like what he said about not going crazy with the peacock theory because a few AFC's that look up to Mystery starts trying to imitate him instead of understanding.
KoolKat I didint say it wasnt good at all (except for magic beans :p) but that it wasn't original. I like the way he talks about transition though. It smoothens the game. But still feels too much like MM, but Il come back when I read it all. I owe it that much right? :p
I for one wants Derek "Cajun" to write a book. haha. I just love his natural style. Although he does use MM alot too.

I bought the Magic Bullets and both Routines Manuals.
Magic bullets basically re-explains a lot of MM and adds a little more stuff into it. I found that as an older guy --- it re-confirms much of my experiences. For you younger guys it might be worth a read.
Routines Manual Vol 1 seems to build upon some of the Magic Bullets and MM concepts but it gives more written routines. I did find it to be of some help when I ran out of things to say --- I would just run one of their openers and go at it again.
Routines Manual Vol 2 is like Vol1 but i didn't like it as much. Some theories start contradicting others. They start going into direct openers --- and advocating going direct. I think they are saying that anything can work. In Vol2 I can sense they were starting to run out of good ideas.
Overall, MM changed my life and when I introduced to Magic Bullets and the Routine Manuals --- i did find some useful lines in it but it just backs up MM.

Magic Bullets isn't that great. I read it once quickly, I probably won't read it again. The chapters on some things feel like lists or encycolpedia entries sometimes.
BUT, if it was better written, more concise, with more direct examples, it would be good.
btw, Savoy says the MM is "outdated" as his little way of promoting his own book. What a tool. I never could trust that guy.
