Im currently working out my biggest project ever. The year of 2010 will be a yaer for personal growth, and ive decided to make a huge and complex new years resolution. Ill be spending the next two weeks planning this out, to the smallest detail ofc. It is in my experience that it always help to bring people onboard, and what better place to seek help than a forum filled with people who are gung ho on self-improvement.

Here are my goals so far. Hope I inspire some more of you to do the same as well.
------------------------------------------------------------------

Do not let any of this reduce social activites with significant others!

learn how to cook 20 dishes
read 3 cooking books

Start working out
go running minimum 5 days a week.
join the gym when back at uni

reduce intake of alcohol.
drink only about once every two months, and when drinking stop at around 6 pints. or one bottle of wine.

Get back to university and finish my psychology degree.
-Get top grades

pay all credit card depts.

save up 10.000 dollars before moving to back to london.

Learn how to start a business online. Read:
- “RICH DAD POOR DAD” BY ROBERT KYOSAKI
- “MULTIPLE STREAMS OF INCOME” BY ROBERT ALLEN
- “THE E-MYTH REVISITED” BY MICHAEL GERBER

learn how to find investors and guru's.
-read 2 books

start aquiring knowledge about real estate investment.
- “REAL ESTATE INVESTING FOR DUMMIES” BY ERIC TYSON

Start keeping a journal.

Read David DeAngelo's "Double your Dating"

Take Dancing lessons
-salsa or tango

I seek your best tips available. what skills to aquire... what books i should read, etc.

Those are all amazing resolutions man! The only advice I could give you is to do everything in your power to FOLLOW THROUGH with them. The idea of a New Year's Resolution is really great, the problem is though most people don't continue them after a few weeks.

I always remember the joy I get seeing people packed into my gym every January. The place is flooded with overweight or under-muscled guys, dedicated to improve their bodies. Where are they a month later? Nowhere to be seen. Come February the gym is back to normal. They gave up.

What I would do is mark a reminder in your phone (if you're phone can do that) at the end of every month, or even every week, that says "New Year's Resolution" to remind you to stay on your toes! And that way you are getting constantly reminded to get the things you want out of life. So good luck, and remember to always work hard like a champion.

This is a sweet idea. Definitely gonna do that. Im also making a poster to hang close to my bed, so i see it every morning when i wake up, and ill look at it everytime i go to bed :D

Looks like 2010 is going to be the year of the PUA.

Im also going to increase my vocabulary in both my native language and english.

Im really looking for some great book tips, so if anyone can provide them, please let me know

Hey mate
How's progress with the plans for 2010?
sounds good anyway.

Just thought I'd mention a book -
you may have read it-
"The Richest Man in Babylon"
by George S. Clason
It's fairly small (2-3 nights), but it pretty much summarises the principles of wealth and how to get it. I think I got more out of that than all the others (Rich Dad Poor Dad, Cashflow Quadrant, E Myth, Seven Steps to Wealth etc) combined. You're already half way there by setting out to read those books, but this one is my all time favorite.

If you play sport (any sport - or even if you don't), "The Inner Game of Golf" by W. Timothy Gallwey is gold. Essentially it's a psychology book. You can probably get these cheap at either a 2nd hand bookstore or on eBay.

Mr Noisy is good too :)

Thanks for taking an interest in my progress doc! :D And im delighted to tell you that im well on my way. I havent started all of my goals that are on the list yet, but ive started a few and even added a few more. Thanks for the book tips too! I have already placed my order for both at amazon :D Let me know if u can think of some other books that have inspired you!

-started keeping a journal, which i find VERY usefull btw. finaly i dont have to worry about forgetting my ideas.

-Read "double your dating" by D. DeAngelo, which i thougth was very interesting. Wish i started getting into this by reading his work. Its the perfect starting point to selfimprovement.

-Been sober everytime ive gone out with my friends, and i dont find that hard at all :D And ive taken this even further :D I have also cut all fast foods and the big amounts of coca cola ive been drinking.

-After watching a documentary called "the secret" which is on the law of attraction, i got inspired to get a vision board, which im putting up on my wall today. The documentary is very inspirational

-Im currently reading "the power of now", which im not sure ill find useful yet. Feels like one of those books i have to read several times to really get.

-Oh, and i started getting in to Tony Robbins! What an incredible gift he has, when it comes to motivating! I have the "getting the edge" work and going to read Awaken the giant within as soon as it arrives.

-I have also found someone who is equally eager to do this, so ive started to build my network too!

-Oh, and finaly id like to mention that I have started working on my book, which ive been wanting to write for a very long time!

Im still waiting to start with my fitness program, as the winter in norway has been crazy this year! -27 degrees Cesius(-16 degrees fahrenheit) outside, so naturally, running has been out of the question. But spring is coming very fast, and i cant wait to start!

So thanks again for checking up on me, and thanks for the tips u gave! Please send me more if u have some!

That's a lot of reading!!
In order to make that easier you may want to read 'Speed Reading' by Tony Buzan. I had it but i think i've lost it :( When reading it I went from 300words/min to over 1000 words/min and with much better comprehension (and I was only up to chapter 2!) I've since gone back to my old ways of reading it like i'm speaking it. Finish the book and 10,000 words/min is possible!!!

I think i've talked myself into getting it again!
Hope everything is going well - keep us posted!
