well if anybody would say that he loves salad to me I'd just think he'd be a damn vegeterian! :D
But I get the point, you can open with whatever you want.
It's only a mater of keeping the convo going and leading it towards your goals :)

I've found this opener works really well at peta conventions. Props dude!
With the right frame everything works for you. Situational openers worked out to be best for me because they appear genuine. And normally I ask or comment things I am really interested in. So this telegraphs genuine interest as well
