Like 3 years ago when I first dicovered their power I wasn't in the game yet, I used them like a few times back then, but they were like $15 for a box of 50 sticks... not something to use every night for a HS student back then.
anyway, they were chick magnets.
I found them waaaaaay cheaper at a local holesaler right now, plus since I've been giving these jedi powers, I thought i'd order some for peacocking purposes. :)
Anybody who's familiar with these gadget like peacocking things?
And including them in routines?

During the 90s, I was a hardcore raver and ventured into liquid / popping. But I never really considered using glowsticks themselves as just a peacock rather than exuding the avatar of a raver. I'm not even sure how you'd introduce them into the conversation besides showing that they're glowing and pretty (Which essentially would be like jingling a set of keys in front of a woman and hoping she's amused). Would be good to hear some input on this.

When I used them, it was basically like just wearing them (braclets), like 2 on each arm.
some girls approached me to ask one, I always asked why I should give them one. so we talked what. but that was still in my afc period, usually when I gave one they flaked. wich I now understand why of course...

Well I do use a peacock trick that works in blacklight places but thats my secret and I am not giving that one away. LOL
But if I were to use a glow stick I would probly go with the mini ones and use them like cuff links or something.
Now the big ones I would attach one to a belt loop so I could wait for her to keep looking at it. Then I would say, "Why are you staring at my package?"
Her: I was looking at your glow stick Me: "OMG, your such a perv I have never heard it called that before." Then she will still try to explain and or point to it which is great social proof having a hot girl gesturing and pointing at you package (I mean Glow stick) LOL

They have some negative connotations because of the rave scene I think with some people, on the other hand... I have some pretty obnoxious blinky things. I'd say go for it if it works for you... just be sure not to go overboard and become a kandy kid. hahaha

Candy kids are the ultimate peacocks. Arms full of candy (for those of you who don't know candy is beaded bracelets that are usually traded as a sign of friendship), big fuckin' hats, assortments of necklaces and weird shit on their body. Which is acceptable amongst the raver scene, but you'll be treated like clowns anywhere else.

Well peacocking is to stand out but it does not have to look like you are coming from the circus either. All you are doing is trying to stand out from the sea of boring. Also it should fit into your persona. You can peacock with only one or two interesting items.
I remember traveling and I dressed comfortably (Like a slob) to catch a 7 am flight. One of the girls I had been causually seeing gave me one of those 5 foot tall Bears at the airport after I had already checked my bags.
Anyways I had two connecting flights and every plane and stop I was swarmed literally with women wanting to know the story behind it. I probly was opened by at least 100 women and I never made an effort to open a single one of them. I stood out in the sea of boring.
What I am trying to get across is that just one single item added to my below average looks that day (litterally looked the slob) had the power to open +100 women.
So one or two well placed peacock items can really make a difference.
The important thing is though you still have to have the skills and confidence to take advantage of it.

Here's a video of me playing to about 450 kids at a rave down in cincy. :D
