Let me start off by saying that all my previous attempts at night game have been major busts. Be it because of the venue, the people, or in actuality: myself.
Last night I learned how radically important your frame and vibe can be. I did not understand the key role they play, and the drastic difference it makes to expand yourself outwards to such a degree that you literally throw yourself like a blanket around the whole club/bar/venue...versus standing there with your buddies and over-analyzing every little detail of the meek approaches you make and wondering why it couldn't have gone better and you had to eject.
It was like an epiphany, honestly. I locked all my worries and inhibitions in the glovebox of my car when the Valet guys at Saddle Ranch went to park it.
The result was nothing short of exquisite. I was bouncing around all over the place, opening sets left and right and completely vibing, even being bold enough to try a bit of AMOGing (with limited success). There was one point where I was taking pictures of this three-set and they got me to lay down across all of their laps like I was lounging on a couch.
Absolutely delicious (I have habit of using that word as a synonym for 'good'--it's a long story, don't ask.)
Wanna know the kicker? I didn't use canned material the entire night.
No pre-planned openers, not even any back-pocket tricks for a little extra DHV boost I'd planned to fall back onto when I first started (I wish I'd had my little notebook, though, because I could have really used it as a prop for working some great sets).
All of it was pretty much just natural game and making openers based on observations. Solid.
The pinnacle of the night was when I opened this mixed 3-set (1 guy, 2 girls) because there was this outrageously cute redhead girl in it (yes yes, I know, me and my redhead obsession). I talked with them for a couple minutes then bounced off to go open more sets and make sure it looked like I was making things happen. When I was about ready to leave the place, though, I made it a point to come back and re-open the set because I was hellbent on getting the girl's number. It was the first mix-set that I've worked, but the execution was flawless. I worked the guy and the other girl first, who were dating, I showed some of my ninjutsu tricks to the guy as a DHV, and within minutes I had him giving me praise and stuff, telling the girls I reminded him of a celebrity (Ed McMahon, I think?). Anyway... Eventually after ignoring the redhead I worked on her, and more or less number-closed her except for the fact that she was leaving LA in a couple of weeks and was insistant on cutting all ties to the city. I called bullshit, but she said she "wasn't trying to be a bitch" she just saw no reason to keep in touch (even though I pulled out some amazing lines about how "you never know whose paths will cross yours again, it might come in handy in the future. or are you telling me you're a seer and you know we won't meet again?").
So yeah, I was massively vibeing by the end of the night.
The thing is, that I don't know if I would have gotten to that level if I hadn't started off the night the way I did. Here's the story:
I met up with Dante Valentine and some other guys at Starbucks on Hollywood/Highland for his seminar. He's a really solid guy, likes to use the rockstar look as a form of peacocking and bases some of his routine around that. We all sat around and he gave us a bit of talk about his style and philosophy, answered questions about some intricacies of approaches and set dynamics. He opened a set or two right there for us at the Starbucks, and had this one girl practically oozing over him as she was leaving with her coffee, saying in that giggly, bubbly voice as she left, "Byyyyeee Danteeee, teehee"
I pretty much busted up laughing the second she was out of earshot, as I just couldn't get my mind around what he did to that girl to make her like that. The dude's got talent, that much is apparent right from the start.
When we rolled into saddle ranch, the other guys sorta split off and did their own thing, but I stuck with Dante to watch him make some approaches, and even helped him out with some set merging--he passed me this one HB he had opened and I kept her busy with some good natural conversation and game, just finding things we had in common and chaining my responses off of that (nothing to it, aye). Eventually we were opening massive sets together, working them over like it was nothing. There was one barbie-looking chick there who had a huge mix-set gushing all over her like she was paris hilton (she was more of a cheap-knockoff, if anything). I decided to try some MM on her and triple-stack a neg, and Dante was right behind me as she walked by. I basically asked her if her hair, tan, and nails were all fake--Dante whispering to me that I needed to be stacking faster, no pauses... But I did get good results from thatt because she went back to her friends to point at me and tell them I thought her hair was fake, haha. After we left Saddle Ranch, Dante and I finished off the night by going to Ralphs to grab some foodstuffs. While we were there we ran into this amazing HB who was like an 8 or 9, amazing set of tits, and was visiting from Brazil for the summer. Dante opened her and got a number close within 10 minutes--she was all over him.
I'm sure there's more stuff I can rant about, but I think this post is long enough already. If any of you guys get the chance to hang out with Dante and learn from him, you definitely should. He mentioned he might be giving some lessons or something like that if people are interested.
