How do I cut loose an extremely clingy chick? She text messages and calls me like 20 times a day. I'm drowning and I want out.

Should I ignore her? I'm afraid if I take the direct breakup approach that she'll freak. She calls me crying and stuff when I ignore her for too long so I'm afraid she's gone flip out on me.

And you should look at her in the eyes. "It's not you, it's me" or other bullshit classics are quite insulting I find, real and honest reasons are easier to swallow.

You're not forced to give a reason though.

...You know man, this one chick who couldn't get her act together, I still got her to aunt me nine years after "cutting her loose" and some, over more time. Better do it clean and respectfully, the way you would like to be told it's over yourself if that makes sense.

(if she really is going nutz, you warn her once, like "we have to discuss" : chicks automatically take this as "it's over", gives her time to get ready for that talk).
