Styles Number Guessing Method

Neil Strauss mentions that he demonstrates value by asking a girl to pick a number 1-10 and to focus on it really hard, and somehow it's always 7? Does this work everytime? Could someone please share the complete routine?

This is Mystery's actually. Most people pick 7, but it almost never works for me.

I use it all the time and have only missed it by one. She picked six but gave me the benefit of the doubt for being so close. Used it on a psyche major this weekend and she answered it with seven, instead of playing along, like she wasn't impressed.I then accused her of cheating and she started smiling at the cocky/funny.

I like it because of something Mystery said. "If you can get a girl to envy you, you'll get her everytime". A perfect example is Sarah "fucking" Garrett. The chick who Mystery plows through shit test with(can be seen on youtube).
Once he pulls off guessing her middle initial she is all in his face and wants to know how he did that. Her attitude does a 180 for a moment.

I suppose thats why I use it. To work the envy angle. One that I like to use that has really turned on the "envy" switch is telling a chick that I believe she is an only child(when I believe that is the case;cold reading). If I get it right, it creates that same type of response of Sarah Garrett. One girl even touched me with her finger and made a sizzling sound while smiling from ear to ear, after I pegged her on it. It was a major turning point in the conversation and sent me right into A3. Wasn't long after that I pulled her from her friends, to a quiet spot, and I was running the cube.

So the point of the 1-10 game is to create envy. Work it in and use it. They are always amazed if you get it right. But set it up that you might get it wrong. Sarge on..

The cheating line is a killer when you guess wrong. It works every time for me too.

I change it a little and say, hey that's not fair. I said chose a number between one and ten and you chose 7, but then changed it to that other number. Man you even cheat at ESP, I bet you are a bad girl?

They eat it up and get confused at the same time.

The ESP routine is great, and is really effective when stacking it after the spells opener even though it is not necessary to do so. 70% of the time they will pick 7 when guessing from one to ten. I dunno if it is just personal experience but when I'm doing it in a mixed set to a dude, they usually seem to pick 6. If however you do guess the number wrong theres always a contingency plan.

PUA: Let's try an experiment, pick a number between one and ten...ok got it? (Credit Mystery)
Girl: Yup
PUA: 7?
Girl: No

I will give you an ESP Routine that will work every time. I have guarded this for a long time, but after seeing the interest in this thread, I will share it.

Vernon’s ESP Routine:

V: I want you to guess a number between 1 and 10...don’t tell me the number...got it?
HB: Yeah...
V: Okay...so you are thinking about your number...
HB: Yes...
V: Are you sure?
HB: Yes!
V: Okay...good...now, I just want you answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’...don’t say anything else...is it the number 7?
HB: No.
V: Okay...cool...I am going to attempt to link with your mind now...concentrate...give me your hands...(kino)
HB: Okay
V: Add 10 to your number...
HB: Okay...
V: Hmm...okay...I’m getting closer...
V: Add 10 again...
HB: Okay
V: Add 2...
HB: Got it.
V: Subtract 1
HB: Okay
V: I’m almost there...subtract 1, again...
HB: Yep.
V: Subtract your original number...the one that you started with...

I have a number of variations for this routine...some of which have a greater effect. This has never failed me (it does not matter what number they start with)...unless, of course, the target can’t add (which does happen), and then I just bust on her for failing Grade 3 math.

If you are wondering how the effect works, try it. Take out a calculator and do what I just wrote. You will always end up at the number 20, and she will never figure it out. In fact, I will often run the same routine on her friend and bring her to a different number...freaks them right out, in a good way, of course.

I've fallen away from using the ESP gambit. When I did it, I would do the 1-4 (most people pick 3) and then the 1-10 (most people pick 7). But I dont think I EVER got both of them right at the same time.

its when they say.. "think of a number between one and ten"..
they kind of imagine the numbers 1-10 on a row infront of them.
when they say "one", they first point their index finger on the number 1 at their imagined line of numbers.. when they say "ten" they point their index finger at the number "10" on the line..

fast after they have pointed out the imagined line of numbers between 1-10 and asked the question..

they put their finger at 7...
