I have $400 dollars to spend on clothes for next week. I have been told that I would look good in a preppy look but I would like some more opinions on this. I don't get this much money very often and I want to make the most of this. Please post some suggestions for types of clothes, brands and stores. I live in Canada by the way so some American stores might not be available.

Buy a Lacoste or a Ralph Lauren polo, a few blue or red shirts with vertical stripes, maybe 1 or 2 nice white t-shirts with something funny or representative of you, and perhaps 1 black vest for classy occasions. Like a blazer, you know. If you want something more casual, buy a hoody. If you want something more unique, buy a nice hat.
Buy destroyed jeans, have a few dark, a few light. You can't go wrong with Dolce & Gabbana. Don't buy True Religion or 7 For Mankind or those fancy jeans, theyre too expensive for your budget.
There you go.
Do you guys have a clothing closeout store like Ross in Canada? Ive bought nearly my entire wardrobe from Ross for a little over $300, shirts, shoes, pants, hats, jacket, everything.

Oh ok. Lose the blazer, keep the hoody.
Replace shirts by fitted tees. Buy the rest I've mentioned.

I'm a master at buying shit that looks nice on a REALLY tight budget. Go to Kohl's if they have one in your area. Often times you can get some really nice jeans that fit well for under $20 US. There is a store called XIOS here which I don't know if they have it outside NYC jersey area or not that has great stuff real cheap.
Get some advice from chicks on this subject. If there is one area that a chick can help you with in game it would be clothing. Just make sure you ask a chick that dresses well.

hey pizzaboy -
different style works for different people and it depends on your appearance (body-type/complexion), style goals and identity.
i, personally, could give you better advice if i had more background on those factors

Yeah mate as Ocean says different styles work for different people. I personally stick to designer label clothes and have recieved plenty of compliments in the field. I wear polo shirts, i tuck the front in so that my D&G belt is visible (peacocking) and Hugo Boss or Calvin Klein Jeans. I wear a white motorcycle jacket at times and sometimes wear a brown polo jeans co parka jacket. I would also advise you to invest in some designer label clothes and if you know where to look can pick these up pretty cheap. 400$ should buy u a couple of T shirts and a pair of pants.

I've found a nice web site this week-end. Don't know if it will fit your identity cuz it'll be more for someone with a punk/hardcore background.

Also i don't remember how i found this site but it's a good ressource for some Bling Bling!!!!

Find a nice Men's boutique. Tell them your budget. You want a nice pair of jeans and two shirts. Next time you get money, duplicate the look with cheaper shit.

What kind of look are you trying to get? What's your identity? Without this piece of information any advice we could give you here is most likely wrong.
There are lots of different looks for lots of different people, figure it out and get back to us.

I'm Asian and I am not really sure what my style is or what looks good on me. I think that just about anything that doesn't make me look really goth or emo would be okay. I'm about 5'11, 160lbs and I'm thin-average. And also I was hoping to get a new wardrobe more or less, not just 1 or 2 new shirts. Hope that helps and thanks for the help guys!

Hey Pizza,
Maybe I can offer some helpful suggestions. I'm half asian myself and lately ive been going for a casual sophisticated look which has been working out pretty well for me. I used to shop at places like Banana Republic and Express but the more I progress my game, the more I find myself trying to replicate the look but with a more peacock-conscious flavor. Sometimes, the colors you choose to wear can be more important than the type of clothing itself. Even somethng as simple as a nice, bright, eye-catching t-shirt, layered with a button down, hoodie or blazer can be a big step to looking sharp.
Hope that helps,

Stay away from black and silver lest ye be stereotyped. Look online for outfits/styles that you like and then when you go shopping try to replicate those looks as best as you can.
You won't be able to get a wardrobe on $400 but you can get a few key pieces and some filler.
