When did the new URL go active and how did I miss the news that the forums were moving?

They don't usually tell people about this stuff. I just couldn't access the forum for a couple days.

Same. It wasn't until someone posted the new link on another forum I found out about it. I figured the server just died or something.

They started a new forum, accessible from the main VA website. Then they locked this forum for a short while thereby forcing everyone to use the new forum. They realized how piss poor the new forum is and opened this one back up.

well, I went through the process of filling that form out

I would really rather people didn't have a splash screen like that prior to getting to the main site

all very well a good idea for new people, but most of the people visiting will be regulars

Not to mention filling it in with gibberish will get you through to the main site just as easily. Why even bother. It's just a damn inconvenience and smacks of being unprofessional. Seriously, what site actually keeps people from their products? That's just all kinds of amatuer.
